For those of you interested in the Western film genre and Emily Blunt, I just finished her 6 part series titled 'The English', which is showing on Amazon Prime. I enjoyed it, hope you do also, ...

Daybreak is a pretty good comedy Zombie movie - kinda like Zombieland but as a TV series

The Zombie lady who still has some sense to her self being is hilarious

I watched the first 5 eps. on Sunday. It was a whole lot more entertaining than the Rams game. Yes, low bar.
From the people who brought you Westworld, based on source material from the father of cyberpunk, and initially set in Appalachia, it's not bad.

I've really enjoyed it so far, good story and very good cast. I keep thinking I've seen the guy who plays Wilf in something but everytime I look at his imdb page nothing looks familiar.

You know what guys? I really miss old school days when a season was 25 episodes. Todays 8 episode seasons are so weak. You barely get into it and it's over and then you have to wait sometimes almost 2 years to get caught up.

I agree and disagree at the same time. It does suck and the wait times can be terrible... especially during and post pandemic where everything got out of whack.

But at the same time I disagree because I think it has helped get a lot of shows made only having to do 10+/- episodes a season. There is so much being made these days for television I can't keep up with half of it but there seems to always be something to watch because of it even if I have to wait years for my favorite ones to come back. Plus, it helps really focus the story for some shows instead of a lot of filler like those old school full seasons used to have.

But flipside to that last point and back to the agree side, some shows seem to fall short too because they rush stuff too fast. So I'm kind of on the fence in regards to the new format most shows follow these days.

They rushed Wheel of Time way too fast for Season 1

I'm with you but I can also make a case for the other side. Stuff like Star Trek TNG etc when we were younger were 25 episodes of a lot of random stuff and it was good for that. Stuff like Reacher is a movie spread out over 8 episodes so we get like 6 hours of a movie spread out instead of just a 2 hour movie. So for me both have their benefits but there are shorter shows I definitely could take more episodes of.

Look out for SAS Rogue Heroes guys. Very much in the Guy Richie mold of filmmaking and by the makers of Peaky Blinders, it's a highly enjoyable dramatization of the beginning of the SAS that looks like is making it to the US soon.

Brilliant soundtrack too using tracks from The Damned, The Clash, The Stranglers, Motörhead, AC/DC, and of course, Noel Coward.
