Should have at least got another pick this yr. Even a 4th rounder that they could use to move up of they wanted to.

Just seems like dropping 8 picks in the top 10, gets you more than a 23' late second, 24' 1st, and 25' 2nd. And DJ Moore will need to be paid soon I believe.

They should flip Moore for some picks.
Could you imagine being Moore moving your family from Carolina to Chicago then you get traded to Seattle in late April? Lol

You’re fucking heading right on the head! Personally, as I’ve stated here multiple times, I think Fields is a good QB, he just needs a good team behind him and his coaches ( as they’ve said) are going to start peeling him back from running as much.

If they get him a running back and beef up that line watch out.
Fields is a run first QB. They don’t generally last long in a season much less a career.

Gonna predict it here and now: they'll take a QB, probably Levis as he'll give them a WCO savvy rook. And then Matt Corral will win that job and not look back.

Honestly right now if I'm the Rams I'd call them and try to get Corral on the cheap. Let him heal up from that lisfranc and learn the playbook.

I'm a big believer that QBs are ruined as much as they're just made of the right stuff. How many QBs over the decades could have actually been serviced by a better team around them and possibly become what they were drafted to be. I worry with Fields that even with his gifts as a runner, he needs more around him for him to become a great QB. That's why this year is so important.

Again, getting Moore was just a money move in the face of a crap draft class and bad FA market.

DJ Moore's contract is part of the reason you trade for him. It's great comparatively. Maybe you pay him more but there's no noise from his camp that needs to happen. Getting rid of Moore? This trade was made right now because of Moore!! You make this trade closer to the deadline if Moore's not included.

What the hell is Carolina thinking? They are going to regret this come next years draft with another top 5-10 pick (gone to Chicago).
Won't be that bad. The rest of their division will have new QBs as well not named Matthew Stafford or Thomas Patrick Edward Brady Jr. Might be closer to 10 if anything.

Throw in Wolford to sweeten the pot.

I agree with the QB’s that are made just as many are broken (i.e. Kurt Warner is a case study). Honestly it doesn't matter how it works just as long as your recipe is good for success.

I totally disagree this is a crap draft class however. There are plenty of good prospects even as late as round 6 and 7 show.

Idk if you seen any Bears games last year but he literally didn't have much choice the last few years. Their line has been complete shit, especially getting out of the the bad contracts they had since they drafted Fields. He has the ability to pass and is talented as a passer, not saying he’s Payton Manning but he has the ability to pass from the pocket since his OSU days, me saying this as a Michigan fan watching alot of their games as well.

The Bears had a shit offense for sure but their primary attack was backyard football letting Fields take off from the pocket. And he was a weapon but it caught up to him by the end of the season.

At the end of the season it looked like they purposefully shut down Fields running after he came back from his injury. And the Bears offense came to a screeching halt.
You’re probably right since I would have been on his ass to not run prevent serious injury in a shit season as well.

That being said Well, as you can imagine D coordinators after a season and a half are going to be able to game plan after almost 2k yards rushing.

The dude can sling it though, he does need to develop more but they really need a blocking TE and a bookend and middle of the line revamp. I think with their trade they now have the ammo to do that effectively to.

I should have clarified, it's crap at WR which was my point. And pretty bad at the top. But there's some depth there at some spots that we need.

Carolina IMO will take Tanner McKee at #1. He's probably the most ready to play QB in the draft and has a very high ceiling. They need a QB1 to start as a rookie and McKee checks that box. All this stuff about Stroud is BS misinformation.

That said it's probably too much to give for McKee.
