If we start drafting to appease the fan base then we are fucked as an organization. Maybe we should trade for Sanders to appease a certain fan base?
I agree, just saying I would bet Demoff is hoping Mendoza is the best fit.

I was just looking at some of the stronger traits of these QBs and trying to project a fit. Nussmeier reminds me more of a Stafford type when it comes to leadership. He’s got a little gunslinger in him. Mendoza seems like more of a technician with precision passing. I think both would mesh with McVay stylistically.
I’ve long held the strong belief that McVay will never go back to a young/rookie contract type QB….and it would be another veteran that would succeed Stafford with McVay.
But I get the feeling that McVay has changed and evolved. Maybe it’s age/experience, maybe it’s him seeing success from others in the league, or maybe how well the Rams organization handled the post AD transition with young guys. Idk. But I think there is a good chance (50/50 or more) that he will go with a young drafted developed guy. I’m sure he’d jump at the chance at a stud available vet QB (like Burrows - duh, who wouldn’t). But I think it’s very possible (probable?) we draft a guy next year and he’s McVay’s guy after 1-2 years.

2 more years and Burrow will demand his way out of Cinncy. He has seen enough of the organization to know this not how you run a football team. He will probably exceed 5,000 and 40+ TDs and the defense will keep him OUT of the playoffs altogether. How the hell you DONT your only star defensive player is way beyond football gm malpractice. If the NFLPA actually gave a shit about the players they would be demanding more accountability with the Browns and Bengals, whatever that would look like.
If we are dreaming I’d prefer they trade for Josh Allen

The more this discussion travels, the more I'm not so sure I cosign him being a Ram. I'd want assurances he's not going to demand being the highest paid QB every couple of years. I still suffer from PEDST....post ED stress disorder.

McVay bringing in Burrow and winning another Super Bowl would be a helluva story
I would love that just to see the evolution of the offense, Burrow doesn't play under center really and that's McVay's bread and butter but he's even moved off that some with Stafford. They would def make it work but I would be fascinated on the how.

McShay seems to think Klubnik is #2 right now behind Manning followed by Sellers.

I would bet Rams upper management would love Mendoza as it may help with the large Latino fan base and garnering more interest from them. Not that McVay or Snead would care about that.
Rams popularity in the latino community is through the roof, they don't really have to worry about that.

Really impressive what the marketing department did with that community when they came back and I ain't just talking about the mariachi band!

Well, we get to see Arch play today vs The Ohio State at 12pm ET. I may watch for a while, hoping to see him shred the Buckeyes. Even @den-the-coach will be wearing UT colors today....

That trophy bride of yours must be doing a good job...
Met her at a football party and one of the games playing focused on the penalty flag. I stood up and asked, does anyone know what the Refs use to weigh down their flags? And my future wife stood up and responded "Unpopped popcorn." I then went over to her (stunning studious look, still remember the outfit she was wearing because she had come from work, she worked retail while she was attending college) I went over to her and asked "Do you like church weddings?" And 32 years later, two children, two grandchildren and a plague that appears in our foyer "We Interrupt this marriage to bring you football season."

Super unimpressed so far with Manning. Tough spot in road against top ranked team. Maybe his WRs are not open.

Great size, measurables - exactly what you want. Looks poised. But no production whatsoever. Besides his running, there’s nothing there. He has a LOT of needed improvement and developing to do in order to be a NFL QB.

I tried to tell people…he’s not going to be good enough to be in next years NFL draft. The hype got absolutely out of control because of his last name. You can tell by Sark’s gameplan what he thinks of Arch’s capabilities right now.

That is really a great story. Had to give this one the trophy emoji.

Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, rough start for Manning. 5 of 10 for 26 yards at halftime. The first pass of the game he rolled out, had a guy open about 15 yards downfield. Badly underthrew it. Skipped the ground about 2 or 3 yards in front of the receiver. Other than that, what I've seen is checkdowns when he has time to throw. Or passes sailing on incompletions. He's got another half today and a whole season left to improve. But not living up to the hype so far.
