Actually, I was disappointed in Baylor's Sawyer Robertson last night, yet he looked 10 times better than Arch has today. Arch just might be a guy who needs to play 2 more years.

Been watching Ohio State versus Texas. Arch Manning looks pretty bad. I get it’s just the first game of the season but, yikes.

This should end any and all talk of him being a top draft pick next year. Not saying he can’t get there, but it’s going to take 2-3 years. I still can’t believe how crazy the hype got over this dude just based on his last name. Their starting QB was not good last year. If Arch was a generational talent, he would’ve taken the job from Quinn Ewers.

Good. We can get 2 R1 quality players next year. There’s 5+ quality QB prospects. My early choice is the South Carolina kid.

He has a weird wind up type throwing motion. It takes a bit. Like a sling shot - in a bad way. There’s nothing to like here except his running and size/height. No touch.

Manning made a couple real nice throws on these past 2 drives, Seam, TD and sideline over the shoulder were all aces

Are we really going to judge him on first start against OSU?

P.Manning was like 7-14 for 79 yards in his first start. I get it if you don’t like the hype but I’d rather not jump the gun.

Maybe all the hype put too much pressure on him? Or was the defense just too strong? I doesn't matter how good a quarterback is, if the offense is overmatched by the defense. That last throw, Manning did all he could to get rid of it. Someone comes through unblocked its tough for anyone.

Yeah, rough start for Manning. 5 of 10 for 26 yards at halftime. The first pass of the game he rolled out, had a guy open about 15 yards downfield. Badly underthrew it. Skipped the ground about 2 or 3 yards in front of the receiver. Other than that, what I've seen is checkdowns when he has time to throw. Or passes sailing on incompletions. He's got another half today and a whole season left to improve. But not living up to the hype so far.
I'd rather have Josh Allen....

Not so fast. Whether Arch is good or not, I wouldn't rule out the Rams trading both picks to get as high as possible and drafting the best QB they can get.

1st college game I have watched ... in its entirety ... in 20 years.

Most entertaining for me was that half-way through the first quarter, there were already two Arch Manning commercials (for eye-glasses and shorts, I believe).

I understand the impact of NIL, so I was not shocked or even mildly surprised but if, in the near future, there is a commercial featuring a Sonogram of Tom Brady or LeBron James' first grandchild endorsing a diet soda ... I'm going to lose it man!!!

By-the-way, I found the ESPN coverage to be beyond awful. So Many People ... Talking So Much ... and yet, saying So VERY Little about football.

I really believe the pressure got to him. We will know in a few weeks if Ohio State is great on D or if Arch just had a bad first game.
