Just wondering if there are any players (OL, LB, CB, etc) from other teams being released that you think could help the Rams? Seems to me that the Rams roster is in pretty good shape but could possibly be improved with an addition or two.

I still think Phil Taylor is someone to explore for backup NT role. We don't have a true NT outside of Brockers. If Taylor can still stop the run, I'd look into it. To make room I'd cut/trade Sims(last year of contract anyways) and move Westbrooks to DE where he performs better. Brockers seems to get dinged up a lot, too, so I like the idea of having a solid backup NT.

Not all the cuts have been reported, but from the early cuts:

Ben Koyack - TE (JAX) Upgrade over Bayer if we keep 4 TEs
Phillip Wheeler - OLB (SF) Ditto -in for Dunbar
Merrill Noel - CB (BUF) I liked him a lot at Wake Forest; ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2011-hopefully for McGee

I've been reading a bunch of your posts...And I think you're on to something...those 2 plays after Foles interception were pitiful...LTP is not ready to play noseguard...Westbrooks is NOT a DT.....JL is....well he needs a Brockers...Never noticed Taylor, curious why he was cut...I'm sure contract had something to do with it, but what was his production like?

Looks like the Steelers just cut Reese Dismukes. Not sure exactly what happened there, but I thought on the field he was a pretty good center at Auburn.

Reportedly his knee is a mess and he can't stay healthy.

Louis Nix was released. He's a big, talented NT but there are also injury concerns and work ethic concerns with him.

I might take a shot on Anthony Johnson from Miami.

Interestingly enough, the Steelers cut Gerod Holliman, Reese Dismukes, and B.J. Finney. They're all somewhat notable guys from this past draft.

Craig Dahl is also available haha.

I know @Memphis Ram would want us to grab John Conner or Henry Hynoski.

I think we should seriously consider Kevin White. Would be good depth behind Roberson.

I say G Cyril Richardson from the Bills. Guy is a good young o line prospect.

Yes he was. However he plays only one OL position is max out @ 295 pounds as a center. He was a UDFA this yr in the draft due to the above. Issue is he was @ Auburn, not known to produce ready for the NFL OL'ers.

ME:
Watched Finney play a couple pre-season games and he is just as good as what we have , but we already have two playing at that level. Looks like he got great coaching though. Only our scouts doing their homework would know if he was better than our guys projected in the future. Shame we can't have him .

We need a Run stopping DT , CB with upside , Center better than our 2 we keep.

I know I know we almost got through Pre Season without any talk of G Robs slowish development. But @BonifayRam left it hanging there and I couldn't resist, it is half in jest.....well almost half
