Robert McClain has been released by NE. Could be a nice depth guy in nickel and dime situations. He had a decent camp and has been a starter. Only 27
Is he any good though? I mean they kept Bradley Fletcher over him!

Some of the guys people are suggesting we give a shot were never healthy this whole training camp and have major injury issues.

He played great early. He is undersized at 5'9" but plays physical. He tailed off as camp went on.

It could be schematic also. NE is playing all zone like they have pre Revis. Not a strength for McClain. Fletcher on the other hand could be a good fit for NE this year as he is a very good DB when not placed on a island and only has to worry about a 20 yard radius.

McClain just looked like a guy who could play in our defense

No health issues that I know about

I've heard a lot about Reese Dismukes being a massive racist... so that might have something to do with his inability to stick or get drafted.

Imagine the Rams WRs with a guy who has gotten in trouble for dropping the N word?

Yea, I've heard that and that he has a drinking problem. But those are rumors, may not be true.

This is true, but where there's smoke - and where a guy who supposedly has 2nd-round talent goes undrafted and then gets waived - there is quite possibly a good deal of fire
