It would be nice if somehow we could keep our round 2 pick for 2023. Purely selfishness on my part there too, as I detest waiting for late round 3 for the Rams to pick. Plus then Snead's gonna fucking trade down too. :laugh4:
Rest your. feet on the Lombardi, landlubber!

He was hurt in post season, but I'm looking for Jefferson to get a little stronger next year.

we're trying to compensate for von this year while adding a much needed CB to win the SB, THIS YEAR, and you're worried about next year's 2nd round pick? My advice, is to chill, be zen in the moment, oh, and start drinking heavily, which seems to be my goto advice for most things: just lost your job because you were caught doing drugs in the bathroom, start drinking heavily. just let your frat bros wreck your brothers Lincoln on an epic road trip, star drinking heavily. just got a liver transplant, start drinking heavily. Trust me, all that sound advice checks out, so don't despair, it's not selfishness that's your problem. It's sobriety.

That may never be his game. You got to hit him in stride. Woods ain‘t much different.

Speaking of which; Woods didn’t eclipse 800 yards until his 6th season, age… 26.

Wood is gone dude. He lost a step it was obvious last yr, he's not fast enough to fulfill our need for speed role. This signing is curtains for Woods. His cap hit is too big anyway and he probably doesn't return for the start of the season.

Also all the hate in Van is confusing. He barely played his rookie yr then made strides in yr 2. We can hope he'll continue to progress into a solid WR in yr 3. He was a second yr WR, so yeah he made some mistakes. How long did it take Bruce, Reggie Wayne, Marvin Harrison, etc. to start producing?

And i feel for OBJ, if he doesn't get hurt this contract would be his instead of ARobs.

Where do you get your info from?

Teams are calling about Woods, so I doubt he’s all that slow.

While the Rams are listening to calls it’s been reported that they are not actively shopping Woods.

Lastly, they expect him back by training camp.

Great point!

Going into his 3rd NFL season with McVay remaining healthy & playing with WR's like Kupp/ Robinson/ Woods with possibly younger WR's like Atwell/ Harris/ Skowronek is sure to push him back to where VJ was, when he first arrive as a rookie in 2020.

This is a fact WR Van Jefferson was on the injury report (Knee) going into the 9ers game reinjured the knee in that 9ers game. Going into the SB game with the Bengals VJ continued to be listed & miss time in practice with a knee injury.

Dealing with a knee injury for the last two games of our Championship season along with his mental distraction of him expecting his first new baby ......might have had a significant bearing on what we last saw on VJ.

injury more then mental aspect, but I'm the wrong person to ask about dealing with a pregnant wife as I was deployed when my first was born as my wife had to endure that alone, but I could not dwell on it because of what I was battling on a daily basis.

And use his hands, and his body, and find some dog in him. That last one you can't coach though and is why i don't think he'll ever be more than a #3 at best.

That's irrelevant because Woods was playing with EJ Manuel for a bad Bills team with a bad scheme and no talent around him. Once Woods got with McVay he had great years and that was with Goff at QB. Van was drafted into a great system, with great coaching and talent around him, and was playing with Matthew Stafford. He was pretty solid last year overall but his inability to win a matchup in the Super Bowl when we really needed it for 3 quarters of football really put a bad taste in my mouth...not gonna lie.

In the 2nd half of the Superbowl, McVay had Kupp, a dinged Jefferson and Skowronek so he was spreading Hopkins out wide. Though he has the playbook and QB to do that and succeed (obviously), I doubt he wants to face that situation again. Kupp, Woods, Robinson, Jefferson with backups like Harris, Tutu and Skowronek and maybe OBJ as late season help, sounds like a plan for a guy who wants to pass the ball often and run it back.

I'm glad we had the Miller money to get this done (Robinson). And now Stafford has extended/restructured. Would love to see Ramsey make a team move and extend/restructure too. These front office guys know their shit and don't hestitate to improve the roster.

What holes do we really have? Edge? (Floyd, TLew, Garrett, Hollins) CB? (Ramsey, Rochell, Long, Orr & ?????) TE? (Higbee, Blanton, Hopkins & ????) ILB? (Jones, Howard, Rozeboom, ??????) I don't think they'll have a problem solving those issues.

Edge, Corner, TE, Safety.

Maybe some of that gets filled before the draft. Some positions have players in their final contract year. Gaines, Rapp, Scott, Edwards iirc. I’d expect potential developmental players and backups at those positions.

With, sniff, Bobby Trees gone, how is ARob's run blocking? All Rams WRs are asked to do this.
