I agree the tweet was about the Robinson signing. Odell knows what kind of player he is. No way he's happy about it.

But the goal for Odell is to get back. Rams are a great place to do that. Great training staff. An offense that Odell fits in. He won't need to be the guy teams are gunning for with two animals like Kupp and Robinson eating attention. So Odell will draw third corners and destroy them.

If Odell is smart he'll sign with the Rams on a one year deal, join us for the playoffs where he'll probably do well, and then hit the FA market and get a nice payday.

Only thing that I hate is Allen Robinson takes away snaps from Tutu. (Blue font)
I have no idea how they fit Tutu in there now. The guy got hurt right away on teams which is where we would need his production. He has a ton of work ahead of him in that WR room. Skow and Harris are almost twice as big as him. :laugh4:

With Robinson, they don't need Odel. He does everything Odel did. Plus I think Odel was on his best behavior to prove himself. If he signs for a show me deal because of his injury, then get him signed. In the mean time, I don't get rid of Woods. Keep him at least another year to see how it all shakes out. I look for an edge rusher I can bring in on a good deal for the team. See what we get in the draft and fill in the holes after.

I think Tutu got hit a lot in TC and I think it hurt him more than he thought it would. I don't think he can tough it out. He started looking gun shy to me. Skow and Harris though look like they got room to grow and really look good for us.

I really like Tutu’s outfit. Imo I like his catch radius & speed. He surprised me after missing camp because of Covid.

I also like the Young OLB/De The Rams drafted late from Concordia. It always works itself out.Way to early to call certain players bust.I always stay on the positive side.Atwell I tore the heck out of him early during training camp.He made me a believer of doubting him though. The injury & who good The Rams PR was though adds more pressure to find his spot on the roster.

I could see Odell going to the Bills with Von Miller. That would make a lot of sense as well if he was looking for a new Home. That is a winning team with a solid future.

Here's why I sign him on a one year prove-it type deal if at all possible...

1. He boosts our pass game threats for the playoffs.

2. He will be a matchup nightmare for the marginal types who draw him with Kupp/Robinson drawing the top coverage guys.

3. When he gets signed away in FA next offseason Rams get a better comp pick than if he signs elsewhere this year. Best case scenario is he kills it upon return in the playoffs and gets a big time deal. Longshot maybe with that knee but all it takes is one team.

Kupp is bigger, more physical, and tougher to bring down than Woody. Woody's good but he's no Kupp. The problem with Woody is that fucking contract. If they hadn't put him into that $15M range they'd be able to keep him but this is a business and he deserved his payday.

But anyway. Robinson is a lot like Kupp in that he's good enough to where even when focused he's going to be open. He's also open when he's covered. Stafford is going to love this dude.

It amazes me how fast the Rams work too btw. I mean throughout this past season you could see the need for a WR changeover in terms of bringing in guys with contested catch ability. You saw it again in the playoffs. Even saw it in that "go deep" moment from Stafford to Jefferson where he didn't even attempt to go get the ball. From there I figured it would take a couple offseasons to load the types 9 wants in there.

But here we are the very next season and they bring in a monster in Robinson. An absolute beast. This is going to be fun. Goddamn I love this team we are so blessed. :trophy:

Yeah, Robinson is a freaking STEAL

Last off-season, Robinson was looked at as a $18M+ #1 WR stud... like Davante Adams type who just never had his Rodgers or Stafford...

Him being the 50/50 ball, Mr Sure Hands may put OBJ on the bubble for us, but yeah... steal.

Oh, and I TOTALLY want OBJ back... 100%, no question...

As long as we keep ROBERT "HEART OF THE RAMS" WOODS, I'm good

Initially the Rams wanted SPEED... hence bringing in DJax and drafting Tutu.

After this season, the Rams have seen in this offense that Stafford is better served with super sure handed, typically bigger bodied WRs.

I think that puts Tutu on the PS for another season and then likely released or shipped out, especially since he's got zero ST experience.

I wasn't super excited about the Tutu pick, but I understood their thinking.

Now that we have actual information, I think the Rams are much, MUCH better suited on figuring out Skowronek and Harris... Harris is such a SPARQ freak that if they can get him to really work out... OOF... He's got Calvin Johnson measureables, so yeah... a healthy Harris will most certainly take reps from Skow if they can coach him up.

Dan Pompei is an idiot.

Teams don't give a shit about fantasy numbers.

The idea that Robinson won't be THRILLED with the Rams and the efficiency of the offense that will highlight his skill AND preserve him for hopefully another contract, he's cracked.

I think Allen Robinson has had a similar path to Stafford. Both were in bad situations on bad teams. Robinsons has never had a great QB. He still looked like a top 5-10 WR in flashes. He has a ton of talent and in the right situation he should play great. I think this move makes the Rams more dangerous on offense even if they trade away Woods. Always have loved me some Robinson.

Pompei's problem is the same as a lot of media types. He sees the production of last season and thinks it will be the same. Instead of understanding that the volume might change now due to two plus matchups vs 90% of opponents. Even the best defenses will struggle to contain Kupp and Robinson.

Translation is the Rams are going to pass for more yards and TDs next season most likely. And within that extra yield are the numbers that Robinson will put up. Both him and Kupp should be over 1200 yards IMO.

Easily over 1200.. I think more like 1400 each.
We saw what Stafford could do in this offense once Beckham got up to speed.. and I think Robinson's specific special talent.. getting contested catches.. will unlock this offense even more.
Robinson is a 220 WR who is NOT afraid to block, either... Eleven personnel sets are going to be just devastating with this crew, imo.

We also don't want to NEED Kupp to have another season like this last one... the wear and tear isn't worth it if there's an alternative.

I'd rather they both get 1200 yards than for Kupp alone to get 2400+ yards again.

Pompei obviously didn't watch OBJ last year. With Kupp, Robinson, and Jefferson that is a scary trio. OBJ has the speed over Robinson but Allen has the length and the ability to make contested receptions so he's dangerous in other ways. Pompei talks like he doesn't understand football. With all the attention Kupp will always get, Robinson and Jefferson are going to get a lot of attention. That doesn't even factor in Higbee.

Now envision a WR taller than Robinson with OBJ speed......Jacob Harris (6'5" tall with 33.75" arms and 4.3 speed). With him in the rotation or in a 4 WR set someone is going to be open. That would be like a jail break.

Robinson was a stud with the likes of Bortles, Trubisky and Foles throwing him the ball. Now he's going to run routes against D's who are doubling and tripling Kupp, with a HOF QB who likes to throw guys open?
Good grief

Yea its going to get pretty absurd next year. I went back and watched A Rob's 1,400/14TD season. He looked like a top 3-5 WR in the league. Completely unstoppable. And that was with Bortles throwing him the ball. If we dont trade Woods our WR core will the best in the league. I would only trade Woods if we could get back a solid OLB or CB because that would fill a need and create some development space for Tutu/Van/Harris/Skow. But I'm all for keeping Woody and just shredding defenses through the air. OBJ is a luxury now at this point. If he resigns for a cheap one year deal great, would love to have him back for the stretch run and playoffs. If not it's not the end of the world.

What you REALLY see with the Rams is an insane understanding of; FIT

Time and again, they surprise us/me… but quickly it makes sense, like “hmm”… yeah.

THAT’s what the 2021 Rams taught me. The team leadership better be outthinking fans. I will recognize the difference now.
