If our OL improves as much as I hope and think it will, who we have is more than enough

I’m fine with what the Rams have, but if they did trade for one, then Ekeler seems to be the right fit.

Cook gets injured too much. Henry doesn’t really fit the scheme as well.

Honestly I’m along those lines as well. If they just don’t get injured we should be in good hands. ( or very little injuries)

I’m a draft fan and this last draft had higher than usual talent deep into the rounds, this next year draft is supposed to have some very good top end talent the top 3.5 rounds.

I’m also curious to see who has the grit to rise to the top, something about Evans makes me think he has some dog in him.

That said could you imagine a 4th for Eckler? :wow2:Maybe I’m dreaming but it seems the Chargers are sideways with him and I’d franchise him next year too.

It’s not the draft picks, it’s the salary… none are long term answers or cheap.

Plus, I think Tiyon Evans is gonna be a monster… actually I like both Evans RBs

Yeah, I am excited about Evans, Williams and Akers (in that order). The plan with Snead was to draft and develop this year and hit it hard next year in the draft and FA.

Old, expensive and can't stay healthy. Describes some if not all three of them so a hard pass from me.

Eckler is getting up there, isn’t he?

Doesn’t seem a good fit here to me.

Eckler’s (811 Carries)only 27 which is what 3 years from the 30 drop off?

Half the touches as Henry (1750 Carries and 28yo)

Cook is 28 with (1282).

So definitely a lot more tread left on those tires.

If we could pick up for a 4th or less I’d consider it for sure.

We all seen how McVays’s offense works with an elite RB.

Eckler has 38 TD’s in the last 2 seasons plus 3195 all purpose yards.

He might not be Gurley but he’s sure as hell give us a needed threat running and catching out the back field. And most importantly he knows how to pick up blitzes on third down.

As mentioned above age, injury history and $ make all 3 unrealistic. Of the 3 Eckler would be the only 1 I'd have interest in, Cook is too much of an injury ? and Henry cant have much left and is/will be over priced for a RB.

We are projected to have 53 million next year, if we didn’t franchise tag him a 4 year wouldn’t be out the question for him.

So three backs next year I’d love us to see us take a look at next year since it’s a deep ass RB draft:

Blake Corum Michigan

Highest graded Power 5 player graded ever. (96.2)
First downs/touchdowns (96) were 2nd most in college last year. Dudes a monster. Probably will be drafted before we even have a chance to pick him.

Donovan “ The Don” Edwards Michigan

As a Wolverine fan I can tell you this guy is exciting asf to watch.
Versus Ohio State, Purdue in the Big10 Chamionship game, and TCU in the Playoffs combined for 520 yards and 7.4 yds a carry. :wow2:

Trey Benson Florida State

My favorite stat as a former RB is breaking tackles, Trey’s 51% forced missed tackle rate last year set the record. Guy is amazing.

I think if they could afford an 8-10 mill per year player, it would be for an edge

The Rams are going to need a stud LT next year. I like AJax but he’s s little light in the pants and is unproven. Maybe consider a trade before the deadline this year.

I don't see how Rams are gonna trade for anybody anytime soon.

This season is all about assessing the young guys, and sorting out the hits and the misses.

If Kyren Williams and Zach Evans are keepers, then maybe we are all set for 2024. If not, we gotta upgrade at RB via FA or the next draft.

2023 is all about assessment. Trades and splash signings will have to wait until 2024.
