With Stafford as the QB it's about the OLine and the Receivers. McVay will go empty a lot. No upgrade is needed.

that weight was when he was recovering from a blood related illness, was on many prescriptions, his playing weight at University of Iowa was 300+ LBS.

last report I read he was 330lbs, and I guarantee his fundamentals are sound, Ferentz, head coach for the Hawkeyes is a renown lineman coach

That’s not accurate Dang.

For some (stupid) reason, some players’ weights are rarely (never) updated; and their weight entering the League is listed incorrectly throughout much of their careers. Happens even on the players’ own team website.

Last year several posters noted that Jackson looked a whole lot heavier than his listed weight. He was asked about his weight in Camp, laughed at the reported number, and said he was around 330.

i blame that on the Ram website and the copy & past society we live in. A good example of this on this years roster is UDRFA Center Sean Maginn from Wake Forest. Maginn is 304lbs pounds obviously, however, when entering it the person hit the 2 instead of the 3 and Maginn is listed at 204lbs.

Ourlads copied it off the Ram website and showcases also 204lbs. Nobody has the common sense to realize they entered incorrectly. Also on the Ram website it lists Cameron McCutcheon as a WR not a DB. Ourlads has at least made that correction because again the Ram website person handling the roster because of Lance McCutcheon being a WR just tagged Cameron having the same surname with the same position and nobody is around to inform them to make the correction.

It’s not the draft picks, it’s the salary… none are long term answers or cheap.

Plus, I think Tiyon Evans is gonna be a monster… actually I like both Evans RBs
I’d say Zach looks the billing. He is a big RB.He is a SEC guy as well, which produces some tough RB’s.I like his(photos)focus & concentration during OTA’s.He also seems like has a nice confidence about him & a good teammate.
The Rams have had problems with RB’s staying healthy.I think he is the perfect complement to Cam Akers & K. Williams. If The Rams can’t resign Cam Akers it at least should give peace of mind know they have 2 young RB’s & then can look for a veteran RB to add if Cam Akers doesn’t come back.
—My best guess is Cam Akers is The Man for the next few seasons.Singing him to a 2nd contract.
Tiyon Evans ? I have no feel for,but Rivers will make some noise at least in preseason games? That’s when you know how good The Depth will be. I expect The Rams to go 3-0 in the preseason?

YES - REALLY F’d UP that THE RAMS websites TOTALLY SUCKS on Player INFO.
—FREAKING FRUSTRATING when something so simple is not correct & they CARE about The FAN BASE?? Year after year, season after season.

Does Kolone still play for The Rams?? I don’t know? Seeing him on a roster if not is a shame. The is the SAD part of it.You can’t trust the site either way.

The Rams are going to need a stud LT next year. I like AJax but he’s s little light in the pants and is unproven. Maybe consider a trade before the deadline this year.
I think they're on a good path now with LT thanks largely to Jackson giving us a secondary option to Boom. And if these guys can't get the job done it will mean we lose a ton of games and that first round pick of ours will be high enough to take a shot on a LT.

Seems like we'll probably be in that 15-20 range though, in terms of the draft and where we finish. Which is well within range of taking a shot on the position. You won't get those slam dunk types who go top 10 range but the projects with good feet and power will be in play for us.

And if one of the two kill it at LT then we're in real nice shape and can BPA that shit in round one.

I agree we’ll be somewhere in the 12-20 range next year, my question to you is would you be willing to trade up into the top 8 to take a sure fire LT and maybe a projected HOF type of LT? I think I might make that trade. What day you?

Yes. LT is a cornerstone position so if there's a sure thing or someone you are completely sold on to do that job by all means go get him.

That would be great news as 6’7” 285 caught me as odd. Thanks for the clarification.

It is just the website.Coachdean & others have noted. His weight has nothing to do with BLOOD CLOTS.This has been as some have said a pull & paste.Lazy websites by The Rams. Still have not changed it for over 2 years

I call it SAD by THE RAMS & how they respect or care about FANS imo. Very easy fix & away to keep Ram Fans engaged & in tune with day to day roster. It’s not all that hard to have someone monitor it once a week or so that actually knows something about The Team & Players.
—I’m saying something (response) only because it’s a topic & been frustrating to see A.Jackson’s weight(285lbs) not changed since he became a Ram.
—He use to be FAT & now seems bigger & stronger than ever before.I don’t know what position he will end up playing?
I’d say RG or LT depending on Noteboom?

I think they take one of the top QBs next year in the 12 to 20 range (if one falls to them)

Interesting development:

The Dalvin Cook era is over in Minnesota.

NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported that the Vikings and the four-time Pro Bowl running back are expected to part ways, per sources informed of the decision.

The Vikings are expected to release Cook on Friday officially, Pelissero added, leaving the door open for a last-minute trade. Given the Vikes' brass has been unable to unload Cook and his contract for months, it would seem unlikely a team would ante up at this stage, but stranger things have happened.

Cook was due a $10.4 million base salary in 2023, the impetus for the 27-year-old's release. The running back has $2 million guaranteed -- which is subject to offsets when he signs with a new club. Cutting Cook after June 1 allows the Vikings to save $9 million on the salary cap this season with $5 million in dead money.

Last 8 games:

Cam Akers
126 carries, 610 yards, 4.8 ypc, 6 TDs
11 receptions, 99 yards, 1 TD

Dalvin Cook
119 carries, 446 yards, 3.7 ypc, 2 TDs
17 receptions, 149 yards, 1 TD

I'll stick with the younger, cheaper Akers.
