now that criminal charges have been declined, can AJ still be suspended?
It's still possible due to conduct detrimental to the league. I don't believe Alaric was ever charged for his creepy secret video and the civil case was eventually dismissed as well but he was still suspended for it.

That seemed warranted though, this seems like it shouldn't warrant a suspension imo but you never know with Roger.

Puka.
Jackson.

Any other essential offensive starter want to take a shot at screwing up our dream season?

How hard is it to not be dumb?

So there it is, IMO, in no way, shape or form should Jackson face anything with the NFL. Kudos to everyone out there that felt this was nothing more then a spat at best, including my trophy bride of 33 years.

Good news.
Diversion isn’t a not guilty or dropped charges, but next to that as good of news as we could hope I would think

According to the article, it's not over yet for AJ. The case has been referred back to the DA's office and charges can still be filed pending any new information until "statute of limitations" have expired.

And that's the big question. How long is that?

Everyone has right to a speedy trial, unless AJ waived that right, this can go on forever.

Honestly, after I saw that she physically bit him first, I assumed no charges would be filed on him. That said, the commish doesn't like these headlines and AJ has a history, there could still be discipline, even if unwarranted.

As little as I know about the judicial system - and most of that came when I was called for jury selection.

I was initially dumb-founded, when the judge indicated that the trial would last 3 days... (I guess it ain't like Perry Mason, where evidence flows in during the trial!!) My first thought was - is this more crooked, than I imagined?? So, I explained that to my daughter in law, who is a paralegal... she asked if I was going to atend "the show". Now, I'm really wondering...

Then she explained to me, that everyone - defendant attorney, prosecutor, the judge - know all ther detasils, as to what will be presented to the jury. So, basically, the only folks left out of the details, are the jury pool. Hence, it is known by the court what will be presented as evidence and pretty much, how long that will take. Which I was told, is why there are so many settlements, just before going to trial.

I guess my point in all of this is - if you are not part of the court, you might never know the true details.

So, for me, it took over 12 hours for a decision that I would not be on the jury. No show tickets for me. That worked for me - but it could have been quicker!

TLDR: Since the incident the only news has been good news. But new charges can be brought, NFL can still have their own investigation, and the NFL can still suspend even if no charges are made. So, great news so far as a Rams fan... but not out of woods yet.

New charges will only be brought if they get new information. It's highly likely that new information can only come from the woman involved.

Translation: when she dropped the restraining order application, she was also no longer interested in being a witness, and thus the DA has no case to prosecute. It will remain this way unless she reverses course and decides to pursue it again. But why would she bite the hand that has clearly been feeding her? She won't. It's over.

The NFL won't levy any consequences either.
