DUDE what are you smoking?? He threw for 78 fucking yards in a 4-quarter game.

yes the O-line is atrocious, but Goff is playing like one of the worst QBs in the entire NFL. LOOK AT THE NUMBERS. He misses WIDE OPEN TDs EVERY WEEK. Oh also he leads the NFL in turnovers.

He was the better QB on the field today? How does someone watch that football game, and honestly come away with that assessment? You have got to be kidding me, these Goff apologists are actually worse than the Bradford apologists. Its INCREDIBLE.

From what I remember of the game, Jimmy G almost threw 2 picks, had a strip fumble, most of his yards came off screens, and he did that with better protection.

Total yards doesn't really tell you much either. Goff had 500+ against TB but played a worse game than the one against NO where he only threw for 280.

It's also interesting to note that the turnover leaders tend to have the worst O-lines. In 2018 it was Big Ben, in 2016 it was Rivers. Neither of those guys is a bad QB.

Turnarounds can happen fast if the right things fall in place. Long time Rams fans who witnessed the turnaround from 98 to 99 know that. We are a competent OL from being at least an above-average team, but the OL is hot garbage right now.

Where exactly are those OL trees? Competent OL???? Not sure what you see.

0-13 on 3rd/4th down. 78 yards passing. I'll say that again, 78 yards passing in today's NFL.

Youre right man I'm sorry. Goff was obviously the better QB today. What a fucking stud.

4yrs - $134M :ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO::LOL:

Need to see a Rams team with a focus on how Sean Got His Groove Back.

The O Line: Never should have kept Fowler over Saffold. I bet for $11M per year he stays. Kromer is asking his players to do too much. Saw a couple O Line stunts and the Rams paid for it.

The D: Wade stop playing your guys 7-8 yards off the ball or find a rocking chair and call it a day.

Goff: Start stepping up into the pocket. Your OTs are getting beat on speed rushes. Especially when seeing a wide 9 Dline.

I would rather see blitzes and man coverage. If you get beat, you get beat. At least you would not allow the other team to go on 8 minute scoring drives and wear down the defense.

Did the Rams not go from 4-12 to 11-15 in 2017? Did they not go from 4-12 to 13-3 and Super Bowl Champions in 1999? I'm pretty damn sure they did.

I'm more pissed at the constant reaction shots of the Whiners DC. Fuck that guy showing out for the cameras.

I hated it, too, but he's a damned good coach and his unit kicked our asses today.

The good news is that he's gonna get a HC job in the off-season and hopefully they switch schemes and spend 2 years adjusting their defensive personnel...

Goff wasn't the problem today , but he sure as hell didn't rise up and try to lead his team at any point. If you see a guy wide open by 10 yards , you better give him a chance to catch the ball .
That was a low bullet in the dirt . About the 5th time he has missed a sure TD. See Super Bowl

damn could’ve been 4-2 at least with that GZ FG but here we are. It honestly feels like the season is over. There is no energy behind this team anymore.

Even if we were 4-2, I'd be saying the same thing because our issues are personnel (which can't readily be changed in season) and schematic (which can be adjusted, but not wholesale changed in season).

The Broncos went to the playoffs the year we beat them and we weren't good, but we showed everyone else how to beat them and they really struggled after that.

We're in that boat now.

What I've concluded is that we're just a physically soft team on both sides of the ball. An aggressive defense will always disrupt our offense mentally and physically, and our defense will always get pushed over. This game was like a lucid nightmare. You could almost see the exact moments that the 9ers decided that we weren't though enough to hang with them, and you could tell that the Rams believed it too.

We don't have a Derek Wolfe to go with our AD, so we need some real hogmolleys to collapse that pocket and let the outside guys eat.

What kills me, tho is that we don't seem to defend the TE over the middle and we don't run that play when it's there for us.

Honestly surprised Kittle didn't do more because he was open... a LOT.

.

these are the players that get the game ball for outstanding contributions to the loss as it happened.

fowler - offside on 3rd and 8 when they sacked the qb. gave the whiners a second chance and they took it. completely changed the flow of the game and allowed them to play their game. thanks for nothing dante. he even did it a couple more times to screw the rams further.

mcvay - two plays at the 1 yard line and you call the same ineffective run play. if they showed both plays after each other you'd think the second play was just a replay of the first play.

littleton - when jimmy g gift wraps a pick 6 for you don't drop the ball. you didn't have to stretch out or reach back for it, it hit you in the bread basket and you dropped it cold. huge turning point in the game.

henderson - please look at the ball when it is pitched to you. thanks for letting the whiners get the upper hand straight away in the 2nd half.

refs - there's no way jimmy g scored there you fucking cheating, fucking elephant dick sucking fucking motherfuckers.

micheal thomas - is it that hard not to turn upfield until the ball is snapped? you fucked the rams good and proper when they really needed some luck.

oline - can you give goff more than one fucking second to plant his feet and make a throw. this team is going nowhere with this oline.

goff - after 57 mins of nothing you have the chance to make a play to give the rams a chance to win the game. and you blew it. inexcusable to overthrow everett in that situation. still had a timeout and two minute warning to go. i couldn't believe my eyes.

a horrible game all round from the rams. i was wondering if they let jeff fisher coach the team for this week because that looked exactly like a fisher team.

.

i forgot to add josh reynolds. c'mon man, the rams are in deep shit, goff throws a perfect ball for you on 3rd down and long which hits you in the hands. should be a regulation catch and 1st down. no, let it sail through your hands.

This goes back to 2016. The Rams had some talent but, no direction. Enter McVay with a few solid free agent moves, drafting Kupp and Gurley going off as the Rams start winning despite holes in the defense and offensive line. The Rams have been trying to fill holes from 2016 and keep winning despite draft capital deficiencies to start with and trading away draft picks for quick fixes. It's caught up to the Rams offensive and defensive lines not performing well in the passing game. Goff needs solid protection plain and simple. He isn't getting it. The defense plays a soft zone with an average pass rush.

They got beaten pretty good today by the Whiners and themselves. Whiners win the time of possession by converting third downs. Lots of missed opportunities created by mental and physical mistakes. McVay needs to figure out how the offense can move the ball with a piss poor offensive line that can't protect Goff. McVay needs to make better calls. He and the Rams gambled on the young offensive lineman and lost. Goff is suffering from little time to throw most of the time and pressing when he needs to make a play.

I don't think the Rams have given up.

If Rams struggle offensively next week against Falcons, you can stick a fork in Goff and this offense.

The point is that this was the week, with 10 days off... to schematically address the offense.

It was "if the Rams struggle against he 9ers after 10 days off, you can stick a fork in Goff and this offense."

Goff has missed open guys, but he has ZERO chance at finding a rhythm because he's got guys in his lap even before he can plant his back foot.

As for the throws in the dirt, he's playing it safe not willing to chance interceptions.

Plus, our guys were a bunch of Spidermen catching balls last year and we have just seen drop after drop.

Dunno what Goff can do about a pass he puts right on a guys' hands who drops it...

Got out muscled, again, on both sides of the ball.

3 points in the Super Bowl, and a whopping 7 points today.

Coaching may hide physical deficiencies for awhile, but can't overcome them for 4 quarters against a quality opponent.

An undersized defense and a offense with a soft OL.

Both getting easily pushed around.

That's our 2019 LA Rams.

Goff needs solid protection plain and simple. He isn't getting it.

this is exactly it. he needs time. he's not wussell, or watson or any other qb that can run around when the pressure is coming and create time. he needs a little time to function and somewhere in the pocket to move into so he can make a throw.

i think when the oline gets beat continuously from the get go and he's constantly under duress his game suffers even when he actually gets some time to make a throw in those games. his timing just goes way off.

the rams gambled on fowler and lost. easy to say now but that's what happened. he's not getting a ton of pressure on the qb and the oline has rendered the offense useless against good fronts. saffold would have at least given the oline one less problem.

The worst part today, other than it being the whiners, was that the O never got anything going in the 2nd half. We are used to seeing some kind of adjustment to get the O rolling in the 2nd half this season. It didnt happen today, it was like the goalline stand totally demoralized the OL and they were non existent the rest of the game. What happened to the OL that just ran the ball down their throats the 1st possession? And without support from the O, this bend try not to break D gets worn out and misses more tackles as the game goes on.
