No. It took him years to tear Goff down, then not have the ability to build him back up again.
And here we go again. Taking bets on over/under for page count in the Sportsbook.

No, you got it all wrong. He got the most out of Goff he could. There were comments, concerning Goff's lack of confidence, from an ex-assistant (Taylor?) who said it was fine to tear down the QB but you have to be able to build him back up again and that didn't happen. Water under the bridge. He got a QB he didn't have to build up or tear down and he's done quite well with him. And we're all happy about it.And here we go again. And you deserved each oneI have several from past outfits as well![]()
Come on! I probably deserve more than I actually have. And you deserved each one
Sorry - couldn't help myself
I wonder if people didn't understand the context of your earlier comment. No, you got it all wrong. He got the most out of Goff he could. Take bets on the over/under page count for that.
Why? Some head coaches only have 1 year, 2 at the most. He's gotta come in and make an impact immediately. If he bombs, he may not get a second chance.Johnson seems to be ruffling a lot of feathers in Chi-town, heard he has been all over Caleb as well.
I get it that he wants to make his presence known but he's got to earn a little respect first

This may be totally accurate but is it based on things you have read in the past, or is it speculation?... LaFleur and even Taylor were go betweens who softened the coaching from McVay and also could talk back to McVay, when they left there was no go between and no one to tell McVay to chill - Jared wasn't going to do it.
...
I believe most of the Eagles defensive starters are on their rookie contractsDid not expect the Eagles to be there below us... that's pretty interesting. Looks like they are going to be our Nemesis for football titles the next few years.,
I knew they had a lot of rookies but didn’t expect them to be paying Les than us! lolI believe most of the Eagles defensive starters are on their rookie contracts
Jourdan's talked about itThis may be totally accurate but is it based on things you have read in the past, or is it speculation?
If it's just speculation, it is a reasonable opinion. LaFleur left after 2017 ... Taylor after 2018.
It was reported back in 2021. It also lends to the idea, McVay isn't exactly Mr. Laid Back. Which is fine. I like passion and accountability. But obviously there was a buffer needed between head coach and QB.This may be totally accurate but is it based on things you have read in the past, or is it speculation?

Think O'Connell made comments on it after he left but some of the timeline comments are fuzzy to me and I may not quite have it exact on who was the best at being the go btween with McVay and Goff. But it really seemed to come to a head when McVay made changes to the offense, injecting more drop back passing in Goff's last year and Goff poorly executing it, leading McVay to pare the offense way back again where defenses could easily key in on things and had developed answers for the outside zone and play-action passing attack. It was reported back in 2021. Note: Now that I think about it I'm not sure if it was Taylor or O'Connell who made the comments about tearing down and building up.
... there was a buffer needed ...
They also lead the league in dead cap. Guys like Slay, Bradbury, Graham, Sweat and even Fletcher Cox still count against this years cap. They are the masters of kicking the can down the road and eating dead cap. That's why they have cap issues and are in the bottom 25% in 27' cap room compared to the rest of the league... and they have some big 2nd contracts to hand out in the next 2-3 years.I knew they had a lot of rookies but didn’t expect them to be paying Les than us! lol
They did purge a lot of defensive players this off season.
I'm a born again hard body! ~ @MerlinThis guy is squared away!
