This seems to fit the MO the Rams have been using since McVay got here. In fact, the highest drafted OL they have selected (Bruss, Avila) were IOL. The Rams went out and signed 2 vets who could play LT this year should AJ not be able to go.
Even though I also see the Rams wanting to trade for a vet QB to follow Stafford, I’m having trouble seeing who it might be right now. I don’t consider burrow a viable option.
As for those two #1s the Rams, I would like a CB too. I’m thinking a WR is on the board as well. Adams is only on a two year deal, Atwell is as good as gone, and who knows how the hard nosed style of Nacua will play out?
I like this plan for more than just the idea of drafting a QB.
With all of the contracts expiring in the next couple of years and the extension negotiations that will begin after this season, it might be wise to have those picks in reserve after this first round of re-signings.
Who knows, the Rams might be able to pick a couple extra picks in the process.
Blank already fired Morris once, which lead to him re-hiring him years later, so he'll have a very long leash. Besides that, one down year wont sink him considering the year he had in '24, the team won the most games in a season in 7 years

Let the Falcons lose every one of their remaining games. I'm sorry, but I want that high pick.
Because I like Raheem Morris and Zac Robinson as people and think that they could still do a good job with the Falcons.
Maybe I'm crazy, but from the SECOND the trade was consummated on Draft Night I wanted the Falcons to go 0-17.
Meh. At this point in time, I care more about the draft pick. It’s not like they’re off to the guillotine if they lose a bunch of games.
Same here, trust me. I want the high draft pick. I just like Raheem and Robinson, and I get the feeling one or both will be fired if they lose badly.
I care more about the draft pick as well. But I do like Raheem and Robinson as people. They might lose their jobs after a bad year, though, and they likely won't get another chance at their current positions if they get fired.
So, my hope is that they lose the rest of their games and that Arthur Blank is a patient man.
That’s all fine. I, however have a long standing disdain for that organization dating back to when they were in our division. It was re-strengthened when they absolutely choked against the patsies in the SB. It may be unfortunate that Morris ended up there but I honestly don’t think he’s head coach material anyway.

I don't like it when DCs play scared, like they are afraid of losing their job. They are going to lose their job at some point anyway, go for the throat.
Falcons, lose, lose lose. IMO Penix does not have it anyway. He is afraid to throw deep over the middle and throws too many passes super hard to the sidelines protecting him.
