Yeah.. High-cut athlete.. powerful with good straight ahead speed.. pretty stiff... definitely not an ILB.

Young looked at the start of the year like he might be able to take a step up from last year... but I don't think he really did. Nothing wrong with him.. he's just a guy who's going to max out at 8-10 sacks a year.
I think he can be a really solid glue guy for us as he develops. But I don't see him being an elite edge. I agree that's where he tops out. He's more of a clean-up guy for the others. If he can be more consistent with his run defense, he can be a very useful player on our defense because of his incredible closing speed. But he won't be THE guy. That said, not every player is going to be elite. You need glue guys.

Agreed.
I see the possibility of adding a vet pass-rush specialist.. we'll see.

A better pass rush and better corners and this D can start cooking, imo.

He really didn't have a chance though with that GM that they have. I doubt he was able to choose which players he wanted.
He had a chance. He made his friend (Press Taylor) OC, and that friend did a terrible job. Pederson refused to fire them, despite the fact that they were years behind the top offensive minds in their scheming. That's on Pederson.

No idea who that is even about or how far back you went to find that to quote.
Not getting involved here in the football discussion. However, you really don't get the Reference / Joke?

I am only asking because it makes me feel old ... which I am, so I guess it's OK. Guess I am just curious.

True but I still think the GM is an idiot.

The GM is a massive idiot who should have never been hired in the first place and should not have survived the Urban Meyer debacle. My point is merely that Pederson sucked too. Both should have been fired, but Khan can't get out of his own way.

Then I will refrain from making you feel older and just say I'm really busy at work.
