Mayo fired.

That’s a real surprise; you’d have thought that the Patriots would give him more than one year, especially as they appear to have a good young quarterback going forward.
That’s insane.
Finished with same record as last year, as a 1st year coach. Were pretty competitive in their games. Team mandated that Maye wasn’t starting out of the gate.
Clearly they have their eye on someone else
Another reason to hate this franchise.

Cheatriots doing stupid things like fucking with their quarterback's obvious need for a consistent system and young weapons aside from Ja'Lynn Polk (who is injured) and Javon Baker (who is an idiot) and firing a first-year head coach who tried to make a Caesar salad with a dumpster truck loaded with chickenshit?

I could live with that for the next two decades.

By adding a run stuffing DT an ILB to go along with Speights maybe even upgrade him and add a CB1 and another CB. Rams pass rush is fine and the run defense from the front 7 improved over the year.

This isn't at just you and it isn't about just Young but there's a lot of "what if" moving players around on this forum. Young isn't a problem.

Funniest thing about the bolded part is some people asked the same thing about AJ at LT. He can be upgraded but the push back from that though was amazing and that's not even wanting to move him to another position just upgrade him.
Funny, how on obvious passing situations they are putting Fiske and Verse on the edge and Young is back in coverage. If he can be trusted to cover, not sure why he can't move to being an off the ball LB? I think he could be a stud there and increase the speed at that position.

People used to freak out when Miller was in coverage and he was our best pass rushing edge that argument holds no water.

As for why he doesn't have the physical tools to do it add to that he's never done it add to that there's no reason to try it. I think he's just fine where he is.

Not sure why you would say he doesn't have the physical tools to do it. At 6-2 250 with 4.55 speed, he seems like a perfect fit physically. It would come down to does he have it mentally/ instincts-wise, etc...

I think someone mentioned the lack of agility. You feel he has that or you don't feel it's important for the position?

Tyreek Hill missed the playoffs for the first time in his career. Now he's talking about going somewhere else.

Yeah.. High-cut athlete.. powerful with good straight ahead speed.. pretty stiff... definitely not an ILB.

Young looked at the start of the year like he might be able to take a step up from last year... but I don't think he really did. Nothing wrong with him.. he's just a guy who's going to max out at 8-10 sacks a year.
