I've watched nearly every Dodger game recap from MLB or the Dodger YT channel. I refuse to watch the AI generated highlight channels. Made that mistake once, but it's easy to make since those highlight vids are up hours before MLB which is up before the Dodger vid is. Once I'm moved, I plan to get the MLB package or whatever to stream Dodger games.

I haven't enjoyed watching baseball this much, even just the recaps, in decades. But I promised myself if the Dodgers got Ohtani, I'd start and dang this team is just FUN to watch.

Solid pitching and dominant hitting... and some real aces set to come back in the next few months... this team could be a juggernaut. I mean... can you imagine the rotation in the playoffs of Glasnow, Kershaw, and Yamamoto with Stone and Paxton capable of quality starts... That's an INSANE amount of quality pitching...

Great time to be a Dodger fan, for sure!
They are playing the long game here. They know they will be in the dance come October. Now its just staying healthy and getting hot at the right time.

I agree great time to be a Dodger fan!!!

Yep.

Also… why are they ahitting the bed against the Diamondbacks?

The pitching was meh, but the fielding was atrocious… just basic catching and throwing… it’s like they were disinterested… first time I’ve seen anything like that this season

I hope this betting scandal with Ohtani's interpreter doesn't snowball into a bigger mess for him and the team. They said he used Ohtani's money to pay off 4.5 million in gambling debts. He first said Ohtani paid them off for him. Then he changed and said Ohtani wasn't aware. I hope it really was the latter. I don't know how MLB would feel about it if Ohtani paid his friend's gambling depts off for him.
I guess if Charlie Hustle had an interpreter he’d be in the HOF

The thing about a building a nice lead in the division, you have room for error. They lost 5 in a row. The lead was down to 5.5 games. Now its 6.5 and they got their offense back on track. A long season with plenty of ups and downs. In the end if you have more ups than downs you're in the playoffs.

close call but isn't the NL west the worst division in MLB... fighting with the NL Central

edit: the AL west is pretty bad..they only have 1 team over .500

AL East is not that much better than the NL West

You have two really good teams and not much after that

Whereas the NL West has 3 above 500 teams.

Not a great division by any means but not a bad division either.

And really - only the Colorado Rockies are a bad team.

Arizona isn't horrible - they could actually get better during the summer run.

The AL East is 125-89 vs teams outside their division.
The NL West is 114-120 vs teams outside their division.
The AL East is 47-34 vs the National League.
The NL West is 23-35 vs the American League.

Yankees vs the Dodgers this coming weekend!!!

Whenever I see a post from a baseball team that says the player is only going to be out a short time, I automatically translate it to mean at minimum 2 to 3 months.

Worst division?? Not even close.

NL West probably going to get 3 teams in the playoffs.

Gotta love that east coast bias.....

East Coast bias =
West Coast bias

I certainly don't see SD and SF getting the wild card

but, we haven't even hit the All Star break yet

well it's sort of strange year in MLB

The top teams are head and shoulders above the rest of the league. Just read that there is just 11 teams with a record above .500...7 in the AL and 4 in the NL..so if that trend continues then a team under .500 may just grab a wild card spot in October

The format sucks. 3 100 win teams went 1-9 in the playoffs last year. 2 Wild Card teams made the WS.

Best teams over 162 are not rewarded. You just have to get in and get hot (and healthy) for a 3 week run....
