Avila will get plugged in at LG & never leave, barring injury. Dedich will be first off the bench in that case.
J. Jackson *could* replace Limmer... but he's made of glass. I'm thinking the Rams will try to plug J.Jax in at C, until he just sucks at it & put Limmer back in -- J.Jax will just go to the bench.
Boom is A.Jax's backup, hate to say it.
I'm thinking that ya, LT & RT are gonna be priorities in the offseason.

Two Questions ...
1. Do you think Rob Havenstein is gone after this season?
2. Are you Old-Not-Dead!?!?

Seriously though, Havenstein is under contract for 2025, and will only be 33. OL can play well into their 30s. Also, Havenstein's 2025 cap hit is $11.4M which is actually $3.4M LESS than his 2024 cap hit.

Two Predictions ...
1. Rob Havenstein will be the Rams' starting Right Tackle in 2025.
2. Old-Not-Dead's head will explode!

Once Avila and J. Jackson return-Since Limmer and Dedich are playing decent to well on the interior is there anyway we can slide Avila to either Tackle spot if need be? I’d rather not see McClendon or AJ Arcuri anywhere close to Matthew Stafford. And I know for a fact that Noteboom is damaged goods and unreliable from play to play. Im happy to see the depth we are building on the interior OLine
I don't think Avila has the feet for LT at this level. Guessing he slides into LG and they quit fucking with where he plays, since the last time he played well it was at LG. I suspect he came up short at C in that brief experiment.

Avila at tackle? What the hell? He's a great guard, the Rams acknowledged that when they put to rest his Centre experiment. The best for the Rams is him at lg. Can't wait to see him back in there.

He may have. Or it’s like McVay said and he wanted the more experienced (in this offense) Left guard playing alongside Noteboom.

At least now that they have Limmer, if they give up on Jonah Jackson, they have no need to move Avila.

We can draft his successor who doesn't have to start in 2025 this draft. Even better if he can be a swing tackle backup.

1. I dunno, just assumed, Hav is gettin' up there -- but I didn't realize he was still only 33! let's roll with him at RT as long as possible. If we happen to land an RT who's better, Hav can just be 1st backup. Not sure if he can be a "swing tackle", did he ever fill in for Whit?
2. I'm old-ish, and I'm not dead, so there you go.

I'm glad to hear it.

I was jokingly referring to a poster that would annually announce (with certainty) it would be Havenstein's final year with the Rams ... I believe he started saying that back in 2019.
