One of the most over drafted players in recent memory.GO GET FORBES, SNEAD!!!
One of the most over drafted players in recent memory.
I've read 4 different places all had him about 20 picks later in projections. He was taken one pick ahead of Christian Gonzalez. Also I don't know if I want to sign him. Dan Quinn knows a thing or two about DB's and just cut a guy when they're fighting for the playoffs that's not exactly a good sign.Disagree entirely. Forbes was underweight, but had fourteen interceptions, six of them for pick-sixes, was a unanimous All-American in his draft year, and twenty career passes defenses not including the picks.
He was drafted right where he was supposed to go, and with our secondary woes, we'd be stupid not to take a chance on a twenty-three-year-old player at a position of extreme need with no character issues.
Not idea if he was starting for Washington or not. If he was, he is probably better than what we have, as I'd rank our starters about last in the NFL.I've read 4 different places all had him about 20 picks later in projections. He was not starting, he was inactive 6 games and 3 games he had less than 10 snaps. When they traded for Latimore he moved even further down the depth chart. Guy was a 1st round pick 2 years ago and was just released by a team chasing the playoffs. Sorry but to me these are a series of huge red flags. If the Rams pick him up I'll root for him but I kind of hope they don't unless it's a means to get Witherspoon off the team then maybe it's for the best. Not idea if he was starting for Washington or not. You just described Forbes with all three of those from what we've seen in the NFL.Taking him over Christian Gonzalez was confusing, but he was rated as a first round pick from about the teens to the late twenties. He was picked at the high end, but about where he should've been.
And we're currently the beggars who can't be choosers. Our corners are either young, inconsistent, and/or just suck, and all it's going to take is one more major injury to our secondary (and I think it's extremely likely, given that Wallace and Woods are already injured, Kendrick and THT are on IR, D-Will was injured early in the year, and Durant has injury concerns) to utterly wreck it.
We're talking about a flier, and we can't be so arrogant to think that our current secondary is going to give us any shot of winning.
Yeah, sounds like exactly what we need. /dark blue font/He was not starting, he was inactive 6 games and 3 games he had less than 10 snaps. I don't pay for PFF and I'm not a big fan of them but how does this compare to our DBs?
How many years in a row is this now that he's not played a full season?

I applaud you for having hope for his future and some Commodes fans say a change of scenery could be good for him. But what we've seen from him so far does not match your opinions of him going into the draft. This guy has been absolute garbage since joining the NFL I'm not sure that's even debatable. And yet he's still got so much more potential than any of the current corners we have. What would hurt taking a look at him? You haven't cut anyone who is elite. You're taking a chance on a young cornerback who has been waylaid by Washington's new coaches. What's the harm in claiming him and trying to mold him into your system? At the worst, you've lost nothing of consequence, and you can easily cut him; at best, you've got a new starting corner to build around.

So PFF agrees with Commodes fans that he's garbage I mean 18 points behind White? Maybe a change of scenery will do him good but I wouldn't want his rookie deal at all. After waivers maybe but I also think the Ravens put in for him. They also have a shit secondary and their GM recently praised him and talked about wanting to draft him.Darious Williams 63.2
