KC looking to trade for a top WR........I think we got too impatient in trading away Woods. I'm sure he would have been ok going there and we could have gotten a better haul for him. Oh well, hindsight is a bitch lol

I thought the timing of Woods trade was tied to a bonus payment deadline but I have to admit I don’t think that worked out the way I understood. I do believe Woods would have been good with KC and KC should have jumped at Woods. Maybe a 3rd round pick ? Or a 4th and 7th? We’ll never know.

Yeah, apparently we didn't save as much money as we thought we would. Almost sounds like we're better off being patient but nothing we can do about it now. Guess I'm more so wishing that we at least hear one time where we really pull one over on another team (draft pick wise) that is desperate for one of our players.

I'm of the mind that his contract killed his value. Moving him (getting rid of the contract) and getting a pick back was good. He's not grossly overpaid, but he is making more than he's gonna earn i.e. that money would be better spent elsewhere on a contender. In today's league if you dump salary you're gonna take it in the shorts, so to get a contender like KC to accept that contract seems unlikely to me.

Rams btw have been kind of insane with WRs and paying them under McVay. They overpaid Cooks, who will be making similar money to Woody this next season. Overpaid Woody too. Robinson is now making good possession wideout money which is to say he's just below those two guys. I think the Robinson and Kupp deals will age well, barring injury as always, so the Rams to my eye are batting about .500 with their WR contracts they've doled out under this regime.

Part of that is McVay winning so much that he doesn't get shots at the top WR talent coming in. The other part is he obviously loves the passing game and not only values those guys but does a great job squeezing the most from them.

Les Snead Says Compensatory Pick Formula Will Not Rule Free Agency Moves

I hadn't noticed this before, but based on OTC's chart, Robinson only cancels out Miller's 5th. Snead may be saying the picks don't rule, but the Rams are certainly still playing the comp pick game at a 3D chess level.

That's an exceptional GMFB segment right there. I agree that McVay has changed this league, the dude is a rock star. The whole Goff thing where he cast off the QB who wasn't good enough, vs the old staying the course approach, I think that really resonated with teams around the league in terms of not pissing away time. I mean you get hired in this league as a coach or GM the clock is ticking. You're gonna get fired it's just a matter of when. So why not say "this guy isn't good enough to do what we want to do."

We're seeing McVay once again trend this entire league. It's crazy to be the team who has that guy. I never expected this to happen for us it's a beautiful place to be.

Nothing wrong with the Busch, you can drink nonstop for 24 hours and don't have to worry about being drunk just a casual buzz. Remember in my much younger days a few friends of mine would go buy the 30 packs of Busch Light for each of us and polish most, if not all, in a day. Cheap, day long buzz.

Busch? Did someone say Busch?

I have no issue with people drinking Busch, or eating it for that matter (rim shot), my concern is the brewery calling it beer.

The offense he brought to the NFL was so great that in 2018 everyone started running jet sweep motions. It was common in college but not the NFL until McVay arrived and everyone started copying him. I remember noticing how many teams started doing it after us.

Then we set the trend of not playing any starters during they preseason. That never happened before McVay. Teams would always at least play starters for a half in the week 3 dress rehearsal. Then the NFL started copying us.

Then a shocking amount of young offensive coaches around the NFL start getting hired. Every owner wanted to find the next McVay. Some directly from the McVay tree, some external. But it was an obvious shift.

Then the philosophy of going 'all in' and trading valuable trade assets, all the 1st and 2nd rounders we've traded in recent years to aquire proven, elite players. And then getting rid of your QB if you dont think you can win the ultimate prize with him.

The NFL has been on McVays jock non stop since he entered the league as the youngest coach in NFL history and started immediately winning. It's no coincidence that Tyreek Hill in his press conference last week quoted Les Sneed and said "like they do out in LA, fuck them picks." Our success and avant garde approach to building a winning franchise has reverberated across the NFL in a big way.

Now you've gone uptown with your Bud Light....
I don't drink any lite beer. Life's to short. The last time I did it was for medical reasons. I had accidently swallowed a poisonous liquid that wasn't lite beer and needed something to induce vomiting.
