It certainly does have to do with that. Guys that have time to throw can throw further. They can set their feet and let it rip. A guy with a weak arm scrambling is much less likely to get in the best position to throw a long pass. A guy like Mahomes, or Stafford can throw deep and accurately on the run. A guy like Tua? Not so much.
Got it the only way a guy can complete passes 7 yards down field is if he has a Pat Mahomes strength arm.

That's where I'm feeling. Kind of frustrating me and bumming me. But what do I know besides we've lost some defensive pieces and haven't added to it.
Well I would say, remember the oline from 2019 and the nothing the front office did to fix that. Remember the improvement in the line the next year. Then remember the center need from 2020 and the center need that went away in 2021. I think the Rams history tells us they are patient with their young talent and rewarded for it more often than not. What we perceive as a huge need isn't always what they perceive. Besides now that AD has insisted on more money they really can't do anything until they get him extended.

I was talki g about throwing bombs to Tyrique Hill. Was t that the point? How can Tua take advantage of Hills deep game?
I posted a tweet with a stat that said last year Tua's average completion traveled more air yards than Mahomes. It seems that stat offended a couple people yourself included because even though I said Tua doesn't have as strong of an arm as Mahomes and there are many things that go into that stat other than the QB's arm strength.

Tua does not have as strong of an arm as Mahomes.
Tua had an average completion yardage greater than Mahomes.

Both these statements can absolutely be true as I've said quite a few times in this thread.

I wasn’t offended. I thought you were referring to a different tweet about Hill saying, “now who is going to throw to him”. Or something to that effect. I agree with that idea. One of Hills best traits is his deep speed and his busted play scramble drill ability. It’s not exactly Tia’s forte. I’m sure he can catch short passes and get YAC also.

I really don’t give a shit if Tua threw for 100 yards per play.

Giants and Cards basically swapped bad guards today in free agency.
Agreed, the only thing good about Will Hernandez is his age. He really struggled in New York, maybe the Arizona Sun will improve his play.

This to me is a weird fit. He’s more of a power guy and Arizona runs an OL scheme like us that doesn’t seem to play to his strength.

Les Snead Says Compensatory Pick Formula Will Not Rule Free Agency Moves

Even though the Los Angeles Rams have traded away numerous picks to acquire stars, they have done well to find talent on Days 2 and 3 of the NFL Draft with the compensatory picks they accumulate.

It is a delicate balance of strategically letting players in order to receive picks and nailing those selections in the later rounds of the draft. So far, general manager Les Snead and the scouting department have done well to find players to complement their cornerstone talent though it sometimes costs them chances at players in free agency.

While recouping draft picks is important, Snead confirmed that the team will still look to add talent via free agency if the right opportunity comes along, via Stu Jackson of TheRams.com:

“We’re always cognizant of that,” Snead said. “But you also don’t want to just be ‘OK, our whole objective in life is to acquire as many comp picks as possible,’ right. So, in the calculus equation, we might need to give up a comp pick to acquire someone to help. We kind of look at as stay agile, always know the landscape, and if an opportunity presents itself, analyze it and determine if that opportunity is worth going for.”
Teams are awarded compensatory picks based on the NFL’s formula, but the important piece is that they lose more free agents than gain. In the Rams’ case, they have already seen Von Miller, Darious Williams, and Austin Corbett leave though they did manage to sign Allen Robinson.

Also, there seems to be serious interest in bringing in Bobby Wagner, who recently visited Los Angeles, though nothing seems imminent as of yet
