Agree.

I mentioned Barnett in a post, earlier in Free Agency, as an alternative should the Rams lose Miller. Re-signing Okoronkwo would have been my first choice but he signed with Houston. Threw-out Barnett, Dorrance Armstrong (re-signed with Dallas) and Arden Key.

Don't see it as trying to sign the "Next-best-Edge"; and Snead made it clear that after losing-out on Miller, the Rams decided to “pivot to a different position” and then signed Robinson.
I really think there is some potential with Barnett. He definitely has some things to work on like penalties and another move to turn his pressures into more sacks. I could see a Leonard Floyd arc with Barnett. A young first round talent who never reached his potential with his originally drafted team. Playing next to and learning from Donald could turn him into a productive player.

I think he'd smell post season right away.
I mean he'd play the Bills twice next season, and surely could get a whiff of what a playoff team smells like while the Jets are getting trounced...
When I wore a younger man's clothes, I always thought what it was like to be a Falcon or Saint fan back then (70's & early 80's) and how bad they were. Then the Rams went through that in the 90's and under the regime of Linehan, Spagnuolo & Fisher.

I feel for Jet fans although it only lasts during the offseason, during the season my only focus is the Los Angeles Rams, but when I catch a Jet game, lately I just shake my head. Hill would help IMO, just giving them a player with some electricity and that team could use that IMHO.

Colts 3-14 guaranteed if I gambled in per say FanDuel let's go I'm banking it all.

Holy fuck the NFL and a lot on ROD lately is becoming the Kardashians and none of them to this day were ever hot I've pulled better...but America loves it all. Goodness wake the fuck up. Many weak bitch ass mother fuckers out there now, I work with a lot of them. green lipstick for St Patty's Day, not me, some "dude " is that correct? Gym and exercise your mind. It's not complicated. Journalism is pathetic as well now.

I'm 41 and can guarantee I can run laps around many. Let's go fatties and lazy lazy lazy people with excuses.
A few too many bong tokes?

If the Rams don’t want to commit a lot of money to someone like Clowney, I wouldn’t mind seeing someone like Derek Barnett signed. He is still young at 25, is a former first round pick, and I think he has the ability to be more than he has shown

Here in Philly Barnett is considered a big bust. They wanted no part of resigning him. i think more a 4-3 DE too.

OK, there is always the "if they can sign him really cheap" theme.

Thanks for the insight.

Philly Ram (not sure where he’s from) shared a similar thought last night.

That’s good enough for me.

I like to hear feedback from Rams' fans in different parts of the country who might have insight on teams in their area. I live in NYC, and see just about every snap of the Giants and Jets; and have strong opinions of both.

I'd see what kap has because he can't be worse than baker, for alot less money, and the team would instantly respect him. And if watson is getting the best contract in league history with what he's done to the nfl image, and his probable victims, how can anyone say kap is worse. The guy was trying to shine a light on a decades long statistically proven social injustice issue and whether you think it was right or wrong or inappropriate, it was always from good intentions to save lives and to help make our society better. I don't see a better option for seattle, but if he goes there, I still want AD and company to make him regret returning to the NFL.

I have no problem with anybody signing Kaep or any other QB. My only point would be the vast difference between Watson and him on the field. Watson was a good player on the field before his idiocy off the field. Kaep lost his job to Blaine Gabbert.

So... I went to therams.com and looked at their free agent tracker.

Something VERY strange happened.

It started to load and the first picture on the "agreed to terms with the Rams" area was... Stephon Gilmore. It quickly (few milliseconds) resolved to what's shown. I tried to reload the page and for 2 or 3 more tries, it would do that.

I know what Gilmore looks like and i only had the ROD and therams.com tabs open. And I can read...

So, either I'm so exhausted I'm hallucinating, therams.com web team has this stuff ready to go for a ton of players just in case or... something's happening and they got it ready to post, but maybe accidentally uploaded it prior to any announcement and then pulled it down, but the page drawing wasn't fully cached on the server and for a brief few milliseconds sent out the old info?...

I was probably seeing things, but...

Is ADs agent on vacation? It seems like they are playing this out a bit. I’m still not sold he’s a lock to return to football unless his SB bonus is pretty substantial.

Could be that they're trying to align the AD contract with the FA's they're thinking of signing because they're not gonna redo AD's contract within days of him signing what amounts to a payraise and extension...

Point being that if they don't need to create more cap space this year, they won't so as to not put too much on future years...

They gave Allen Robinson most of what they offered Von Miller, and then traded Woods and got over 7 million in cap relief. Seems like they shouldn’t be overly worried.

Ummm, yeah he sure can be. Cant hold Baker's jock at this point.
Alas, that isnt his competition anyways, if Seattle gave him a shot, he'd have to be better than Geno Smith or Jacob Eason to possibly earn a 2nd or 3rd string spot
Tall order for a 34 year old guy who hasnt played in 5 years, and was pretty crappy last time he was playing
