Hey guys,

I am a huge Rams fan and I was a sports photographer in college. I live within walking distance of the Training Camp in Irvine, so I am planning to go to all but one of the training camps.

I don't have the setup I used to in college, but I could probably rent a 300 2.8 or 70-200 2.8 lens to take photos and share them with you guys.
Would anyone be interested in helping to chip in for a lens rental to do this?

My idea is that I would just upload the photos to a Dropbox or something for everyone to be able to download the RAW images.

If there’s no interest in that, that’s cool. I just wanted to offer it if people were interested.

Rentals are between $25-45 per day.

I'm more concerned with your takes on who is doing what and who looks good tbh. Though I do enjoy seeing the pics that get put up. Eagerly awaiting the written stuff personally. :clinkingbeer:

Yeah, I could just do that also. I bought a new pair of 12x50 binoculars, so I’ll practically be able to read the coaches call sheets.

.

I'm with Merlin. I'd rather read what your thoughts are on how the players are going. Which players are standing out, which ones look like they're in trouble.

I like them all!

Photos are great because “it’s like being there”. The images have the raw feel of sitting in the stands. Makes the world feel smaller and the camp something I can experience in that way. I appreciate what is shared in photos. So thanks to all in advance for whatever is shared!

Written impressions are really sweet because that too is an unfiltered observation. Camp attendees are not scouts, so comparing what you see is the best I can do if I was there.

I also don’t try to measure who is “right” about anything. It’s just observations… and I love hearing whatever it is you are seeing.

Having posted with you guys for many years your take is valued highly.

Huge thank you to everyone who attends and shares what they can!

Finally get to see our Rams in action today. Will be heading out to Irvine in a few hours. I got my new "made in China" voice recorder. Instructions were written by someone who learned English yesterday. Good thing VeteranRamFan will be on hand as I'm a Neanderthal when it comes to "Gizmo's.

Things I intend to focus on Day one of TC. First impressions, how fit they all look, anyone not participating. Of course we want to see Matt Stafford throwing the ball. Will be kind of a mish-mash of thoughts and observations as the day progresses.

We will do our best to give you stuff the beat writers and paid talking heads don't (or can't). If you've listened to Jordan Rodrique's latest podcast, she says she's limited on things she can report. (She's paid by the Rams). I have no such restrictions. I think she is referring to schemes, who's playing what position and who's first team, etc. Those are things I can.

Keep in mind I'm just a Ram fan with no journalistic background. (I got a 'C' in English in high school) I have been a Ram Fan my whole life, (first game I attended 1958 Rams vs 49ersc Coliseum),

I really enjoy doing camp reports for Rams Fans everywhere, especially those fans in St. Louis who attended TC and took the time to post reports for those of us who couldn't be there. (Coach O, Rev)

It will be sometime after dinner before I post up VFR's and my observations of the day. Not sure what time practice will end, 5:30 or 6, I gotta deal with traffic, then sort through notes, but I'll post tonight.

Rams Football starts today!

Have to send this photo.

Just amazes me the good times ahead at SOFI. The Rams organization is awesome.
