An under the radar move that I would like to see done if they can get Floyd done would be to bring in a guy like Carl Lawson. Dude just gets a lot of pressures. So he shouldn't cost a lot because his sack numbers aren't usually high. when we have depth along our edge rushing group and can allow Terrell Lewis and maybe okoronko to grow.
And just one more Ode to AD, he turns pressure guys into sack guys.

I have been one of Floyd’s biggest fans, but if we can afford those dollars I think it needs to go towards the oline.

AD And floyd accounted for about 50 percent of our sacks. He should be priority 1 in my opinion

I agree. I feel like it’ll be easier to get a reclamation edge or just a guy wanting to win and/or look for a big contract after ballin out with AD.

But how many times can you gamble on reclamation projects before you get bitten in the butt? like the Rams already saw what they had in Floyd similar to how they signed Fowler for one more year because they knew he could produce in their system. But all it would take is for us to bring in a guy who doesn't work out and then all of a sudden we have a zero edge rush.

Donald and Dante Fowler accounted for almost 50% of the Rams’ sacks in 2019.

I like Floyd too. Thought he was a better all-around Edge than Fowler. Just hope the Rams have a reasonable limit on an offer.

Yeah we lucked out that Floyd came in and matched fowlers production but I think the rams are smart not chancing it over and over. The devil you know if better than the one you don't. Maybe

All this talk about Floyd, if I'm not mistaken 7 of his 10 sacks came in 2 games. If Lewis can stay healthy he can replace Floyd without missing a beat. I also feel that Obo will be a nice replacement for Samson.

If the Rams play their cards right, they should be able to accomplish both ...

But how many times can you gamble on a weak, ineffective OL? We keep getting bit in the butt with regards to the OL. I’d like to protect our most valuable asset now in Stafford. Easier to fill an OLB edge spot than the OL.

Our edge group is no comparison to our offensive line In my opinion.some people think the offensive line was bad and ineffective but clearly it wasn't If the Rams aren't kicking down the door to overhaul it. People can debate about how good or bad or offensive line was but what you can't debate is it was at least top half of the league. And I always say this, but you can't find any reputable source that will say the Rams line was bad. But our edge group is not top half of the league. Our edge group is actually pretty bad. Floyd was kind of a saving grace in that sense. To be honest, who do we even trust to say healthy along the edge group besides Floyd? Because obo and Lewis are always banged up.
