What I think is kinda funny is that Jarret Stidham probably thought for a good while that he was truly going to be the QB of the Pats, with a chance to take the reins. Now he'll be hoping for the covid practice squad rules to stay in effect so he'll at least have a job

  • Texans acquired OT Marcus Cannon from the Patriots.
    The deal reportedly includes pick swaps in the fourth, fifth, and sixth round of the draft. Cannon opted out of the 2020 season and his health was a mixed bag before this past year. He was only active for 50 of a possible 64 games from 2016 to 2019 but Cannon did start in every game he was healthy for. Cannon was graded as an above-average pass-blocker by Pro Football Focus in 2019 while playing over 1,000 snaps, all of which came at right tackle. The Texans have been active in the trade market to open the new league year but the elephant in the room remains Deshaun Watson's status with the team.

The model is being a playoff team every year, upgrading critical weaknesses using #1 picks(at QB this year, at CB prior) and having a legit shot at a championship by getting hot late in the season. I'm not buying this window stuff where the Rams are concerned.

If the Rams were bad at scouting, had questionable coaching, manipulating the cap and using the comp pick system...this model would be a disaster.

Getting Floyd extended would be a VERY solid start to this post-Stafford offseason. Edge is our dual pronged biggest hole currentl.

No question about it. The Rams can't afford to lose two starting OLB'ers and a DE and expect to be the same defense.

Good, let him test the market. There are like eight starting safeties available in free agency this year. that means that Blythe's going to have a lot to contend with. An under the radar move that I would like to see done if they can get Floyd done would be to bring in a guy like Carl Lawson. Dude just gets a lot of pressures. So he shouldn't cost a lot because his sack numbers aren't usually high. when we have depth along our edge rushing group and can allow Terrell Lewis and maybe okoronko to grow.
