Motherfucker. I was hoping he'd leave SF.
Hopefully he gets the whole thing. Pricey for a full back

An under the radar move that I would like to see done if they can get Floyd done would be to bring in a guy like Carl Lawson. Dude just gets a lot of pressures. So he shouldn't cost a lot because his sack numbers aren't usually high.
We should kick those tiresRaiders meeting with Kyle Long tomorrow
He might be on a discount because of all the different names at the edge position and free agency. And a lot of those names are much bigger than his.I've read where the Rams have shown an interest in Romeo Okwara, just not sure where the money will be coming from.

If he's cheap, I would regardless if he plays guard, but it would have to be dirt cheap. Chances of it happening are slim though.Only as a cheap alternative at RT, otherwise I can't see the necessity for another OG. jmo.
Man people around here are going to be furious when we resign Blythe and roll with an identical OL group next year.
Man I don't get GB at all. Less so about letting Kirksley go and Wagner. But Linsey is great plus next year they have 30 people under contract and $5 million in cap space. They just paid a top 5 RB contract and have Adams and Alexander hitting FA next year.

Yea the line was much much improved in 2020 compared to 2019, regardless of what many around here will say. If we are trying to resign Blythe that means we'll likely have the same starting 5 next year. Could we upgrade it? Sure we could, but it was still top 1/3rd of the league IMO. What this probably signifies is some of the perceived OL issues we had were actually QB issues.
Yea Aaron Donald seems like a 3rd round comp pick generator for us. Whoever lines up at edge with him can get 10 sacks. Which is why I dont want to resign Floyd. He was very good, both in the run and pass game. Better than Fowler. But letting him walk means a free 3rd round pick next year and there are many edge rushers available in FA.
I want to believe this report, but something is telling me it could be BS and a smokescreen. In all the years to let someone walk, this is the year. There will be tons of options in FA to fill the edge role due to all extra the players cut. Floyd wasn't unstoppable to the point he's a must sign. I personally dont believe this report but we'll see.
Or that Rams have no cap space to sign a new center.

it's just weird. they draft a qb in the 1st and a rb in the 2nd and now it seems neither of the incumbents are going anywhere anytime soon.

Its mainly Center. Upgrade there and Corbett and Edwards jobs get easier.
Improved from 2019 isn't saying much. I don't get the Blythe love from some RoD members. The only good thing about Blythe is that he can be signed on the cheap. That tells me that other teams dont really think he's that good.
Good number for a quality OG. Centers should come in below this then, outside of the big fish.
Two QB's in NFL history have signed a contract for $140 million Hill and Mahomes. Now yes Hill will never collect that it's voidable years but it shows what a clown Loomis is and the cap is easy to manipulate.Do the Saints realize they are the only ones competing for Tasom Hill?
They do ok with it. But they had Jones and Williams and after spending a 1st round pick on a backup QB they took a 3rd string RB then signed their #1 back to a top 5 deal. All while having a pro bowl center going into free agency with your #1 WR and #1 CB soon to follow. Sure seems like those 2 picks could have been better spent for the team and your aging QB.They draft Online well. Their backups aren't as bad as other most teams imo.
Especially Stafford.Man people around here are going to be furious when we resign Blythe and roll with an identical OL group next year.
And traded a player and a 4th round pick to move up to draft said backup QB....after spending a 1st round pick on a backup QB
