I may be alone on this, but I've expected this for so long, I won't be surprised by any name I hear outside of AD, Ramsey, Stafford and (kind of) the WRs. Maybe I'm just a sad and callous man.
For sure while it is expected remains to be seen as to what level...Brockers was the one I have thought will be the first major player that will be gone but we'll just need to wait and see if there are more.

He might have meant that comment in relation to the FAs Floyd, JJ, Blythe, etc. if no CV and cap rose, we’d likely keep some or all of them. Now almost none.

But yeah, Brockers is likely on the fence right now.

The Bears got Mack and a 2020 second rounder that they turned into TE Cole Kmet. They got a conditional 5th too

The Raiders got 2019 first and they chose Josh Jacobs RB Alabama. They got a sixth too that they traded. Then they used the 2020 first on Damon Arnette CB from Ohio State, and a third that they traded.

So they got a Jacobs and Annette for Mack essentially and all of that cap space was used on a bunch of players that didn't work out. I'd rather have had Mack all that time.

And now its rumored they may use Mack to land Russell Wilson.

I think the Bears won that trade.
I think this is why we have seen our Rams move away from the boom/bust #1 draft pick frenzy. Yeah...cool...you got 2 1st round picks for a player that in hindsight would have gone #1 in virtually any hindsight draft. I love looking at the next great prospect. But I want a winner and SB contender when the dust settles.

Snead mentioned talking to some veterans about taking a paycut. Brockers might prefer that to joining the glut of FAs on the market right now.

I remember Snead comment that indicated the Rams had a plan to keep everyone that want to retain. I guess offers for salary cuts is part of the plan for players like Brock, Hav, maybe Hekker. I would be shocked to see any FA action until the bargain basement phase.

Salary cuts? Dont think so. Moving money to help the cap is one thing but reducing salary is another

I'm not sure how this is an opposite direction. Do you mean from what Jourdan previously reported or something he said previously?

From my perspective, this is what they've said all along with the exception of Goff.
Yes, I was referring to what Jourdan just previously reported

Mentioning specific names of back ups who could be starters. Anchrum and Brewer getting named. Scares me they might not make OL moves....

Not saying which is better, but it is debatable. Plus, Mack is still using up that cap space going forward. And the Bears lack of picks prevent them from finding a QB via draft or trade. So they are screwed until they get a QB.

I fully expect the Rams to create roughly $10 million in cap space, and then sit and wait on free agents. It'll be tough as a fan, but this year it makes sense to let the teams with cap room spend it and then see who is left - there will be some good players without suiters that we can hopefully get for cheap.

Lots of players are going to have to decide whether they sit a year out or play for close to the minimum.

Only so much $$$ to go around after the last few years of cap/roster management.

I could see them offering to cut a year off of Brockers contract to take a salary cut (signed a 3 year deal last year if I'm correct). Means he'd be a free agent with the CAP most likely going up next year. Doesn't hurt to play next to Aaron Donald to boost ones appeal. Whether he bites is another story.

Also smoke screen or not Sneads talking about adjusting the offense to fit "certain" people and a deep threat isn't necessarily just speed but big guys that can jump up fight for the ball and creat big plays. I found that eerily interesting. I'm not going to let my mind wander to much but seemed he was hinting at something. Wether it's free agency or draft that said I don't think they would acquire a veteran quarterback and Superbowl aspirations to pin there hopes on a rookie. We shall see.
