I don't know if hiring a position coach gets you the comp pick only promoting a minority to coordinator/gm/hc. I could be wrong though just not sure also if you open it up to position coaches that's great but they'll have way too many comp picks.

Maybe he doesn’t want to be a HC. For all we know the sports media hype put him on the spot. I mean the Falcons can always re-hire Mike Smith if they are desperate.
