Getting Reed in no way means they are moving on from Everett. GE has made game saving catches (and runs) for the Rams. A 12 base line up means spelling at least one of the TEs every other series or so. Reed can come in for GE here & there, Mundt for TH.

Assuming Reed is healthy enough to contribute that would possibly give the Rams the best WR and best TE corp in the league.

Why would we trade a young cheap TE so that we could sign a guy with a minimum of 7 concussions and just missed an entire year to the latest one? I really want to understand how getting rid of Everett and adding Reed makes us better.

Big assumption with this guy though. He's always had a very tough time staying on the field. Incredible hands though--like velcro.

Wouldn't read any more into Reed then McVay hyping one of his former guys. He's had seven concussions and doesn't represent an upgrade over Everett. Rams know firsthand about those dangers with Cooks. In fact the Rams rested Everett during the end of the season so he could be ready to go for TC.

That's why GE is not concerned and neither am I. Though the NFL off-season is entertaining much like the WWE interviews, keep the updates coming.

If coaches strongly believe Scho had made Cleveland's run defense what it was, his $10M projected salary versus Littleton's forecasted $15M salary will be an easy call.
I prefer Schobert actually, he's better vs the run than Littleton and can stay on the field on third down. But both of them are going to be too pricey for us. Won't be a fan of signing either of them.

Another piece of speculation. What if the Rams trade Higs? They like GE enough to start, Mundt to be the 2nd or 3rd TE, and then sign Reed to a 1 year $5M prove it deal.

Once our tenant cannot sign HH to a reasonable deal they offer their 2nd for Higs. Would you do it?

I'd sign Reed for depth alone. Everett and higbee have shown to get dinged up. Plus I think Reed is better in the red zone. Maybe they just use him down there

Tons of these type of rumor articles out there.

Report: Bears have spoken to Bengals about Andy Dalton trade

The potential destinations for this year’s free agent quarterbacks have been a popular topic of conversation this offseason, but there’s also the possibility of some movement on the trade front.

With the Bengals expected to pick a quarterback first overall, Andy Dalton is at the top of the list of players that could be dealt this offseason. Paul Dehner of TheAthletic.com reports that the Bears have spoken to the team about a deal.

Adding an alternative to Mitch Trubisky in the quarterback room makes the same sense for Chicago that signing Ryan Tannehill made for the Titans last year. Tannehill signed a one-year deal and Dalton only has one year left on his deal, so there wouldn’t be any commitment in the event Trubisky progresses or the Bears decide to go in an entirely different direction in 2021.

The Bears hired former Bengals offensive coordinator Bill Lazor to fill the same job on Matt Nagy’s staff, so Chicago would provide some familiarity for Dalton. That could be a factor given the Bengals’ stated plan to include Dalton in any trade discussions.

Nothing in the report suggests things have progressed to that point and Dalton may be one of many dominoes that wait to fall into place until Tom Brady makes his call about the 2020 season.

Come on Tom, sign with the Los Angeles Chargers, including an executive role after you retire so Andy Dalton can be the new face of the New England Patriots....It's so close, I can taste it.

I would trade Everett to Washington to pry Trent Williams out from them. Williams does not want to be there and it is a win win for both teams.
