This whole draft seems less predictable than any in recent memory.

Have you studied him? When he played against a higher level of competition he had big games. For example 8 catches 95 yards and the game winning touchdown against SEC foe Mississippi State.
I hope to God you are right, cuz right now it feels like we used our most valuable pick in 2017, for a pig in a poke...

Just a hypothetical but what's a better combo. Everett and Roullier in the 4th or Lamp and a TE in the 4th you've never heard of. I get the anger but for crying out loud the process isn't over. McVay loves the guy and knows the state of our OLine better than anybody here. Let him and Snead make the picks and we'll see where we stand at the end.

I know the Rams aren't going to take him. That pisses me off. They seem intent on taking athletes.

What? You thought all those sparq scores....h/w/s measurables....talk of explosive athletes was just talk? C'mon young man, the game is changing....find an athlete...coach him up...

and there's no way a guy running 4.7 gets drafted as a wr...in the top 3 rounds...not in 2017:thinking:

Your preference I'll go Everett, Roullier oh and with that extra 3rd we could take Witherspoon with that and miss out on Holsey. Again it's early in the process freaking out now accomplishes nothing. I didn't expect the pick either but it's hardly the end of the world.

So is it obvious who made our 2nd round pick? Does McVay have final say?

I liked Jonno too. I watched more film in the last 3 days than I ever have before a draft, plus I re-watched the WR, TE, combine twice in the last 2 days. I had Everett over Jonnu, and the only other TE's that were available, I liked me some Butt, but there was an injury concern there.

I really like ArDarious Stewart, and I have Josh Reynolds close to him. I think they have the ability to be #1's. Reynolds is a relative sleeper, but I love his tape, and Stewart looks tough as nails, and he has nice RAC.

Anyone notice that there are a LOT of guys being picked in the 2nd round that aren't necessarily the guys we thought were 2nd round guys...or at least drafted a bit "early" by our standards?
Still lots of good players out there. Everybody (us and teams) sees these guys differently.

I think you're spot-on, Ants. If we get past the Lamp passing, many of us misread the draft. Many of us have been feeling desperate for a Kupp, JuJu, Godwin or Taylor. I know I thought we had to get one of those first thinking Everett/Shaheen would be there later. No way that would have happened, as evidenced by Shaheen going immediately after the Everett selection.

It's looking like at least one of those WR's will still be there early in the 3rd. Again, something not likely to have happened with Everett.

Good players are going to fall to us tonight. We might just not be taking them in the order we had thought.

Still optimistic!
