Aidan O’Connel he was a QB I really liked. The comparison is separating the off the field issues with whether it was a bad pick or not.
As unfortunate as Bennett's issues may be, it was still a pick I didn't get when it happened. He has a low ceiling and a 4th round pick is still very valuable. Just look at the talent they got in the 5th. Luckily, that pick didn't cause them to miss out on a guy like Puka. Now, I wonder who they missed out on had they used that pick elsewhere.
That's very believable! No less a superstar than Sir Isaac Bruce was one of the biggest trash talking ballers on the field.Ummmm...
Puka talks mad shit out on the field. I know the shecocks were crying about it. LOL
Having grown up playing football with and against many Samoan Bruddas... I can attest to them being world class shit talkers on the field. They do it with conviction though... they're not just flapping their gums... they back it up with action. It's a real thing.
Yeah, I'm not sure that Hopkins gets enough credit for that block. Some fail to realize that it was a very good DE named Sam Hubbard that he stoned to allow Kupp to get the first down.Hopkins on that block for the 4th down conversion for Kupp was legendary!

Entirely possible. Could see that one going either way and it might come down to Shelton's demands. Either way I think the bigger question here is whether they can lock down that RG job. If they can ink Dotson they have a ton of room for error at center. And they have the picks they need in that third round range to go get one if they need to.I don't see the Rams short-changing Shelton. They gave him a "prove it" contract and he did. They will honor it by giving him Brian Allen type money.
Thanks. It’s pretty revealing and you are right. Goff doesn’t look good when he’s moved off of his spot.
The whiners were also damn lucky in this game. In the second half on a 3rd and 4 (I think), purdy rolls to the left, throws across his body and lofts up a wounded duck into the middle of the field and #15 makes a remarkable grab to make a first down. That pass should have been picked or incomplete but once again, the whiners lucked out.
I think a lot of those problems of the left side would go way if there were no more 49ers and their fans. So win-win.The world would be a better place with a 49er loss. Their fans are insufferable when they're winning. But will go back into hiding if they lose.
You are misunderstanding what I am saying. Any normal HOF candidate has ALL four of these qualities/achievements. Having just one or two of them normally isn't enough to make the HOF, with an exception of a Dan Marino as you said. The question was QBs all retiring today. RG3 had a great rookie season just like CJ did.
Well that list is really low to meet those quals.
Derek Carr is a longevity guy but little success.
Jalen Hurts, Jared Goff, Joe Burrow...Super Bowl losers but only 1 has longevity and peaked 5 years ago.
Josh Allen does meet clutch factor too.
Pretty high bar when only 4 meet those. HoF isn't just having SB ring. It's how a single player was so different from the norm to the point where he became a guy people try to find the next version of or was just so damn good. I.e., Dan Marino and in the WR world Randy Moss both never won Bowls.
Josh Allen = stud. Arm, running, body built like a tank.
CJ is in based on historic rookie #s. He's already surpassed so many other QBs.
With a head coach/OC like McVay, WR is ALWAYS a need!!! Demarcus Robinson signs, not so much. We have Kupp who's missed 20% of the games over his 7 year career. And I don't think he was fully healthy all season. That ain't good. We have Puka. We have Atwell. We have Skowronek. We NEED another WR. Probably 2......another rookie and a vet signing.....if we don't sign Robinson. If we do, just a rookie will do.WR is not an immediate need if Kupp stays healthy. This is a very good WR class, though, so I’d consider a “luxury pick” if the right guy falls.
OT comes down to whether we think the No. 19 pick could yield a clear upgrade over Jackson.
Not sure what your point is on CB. I said its a priority for Rounds 1-3.
The rest of your comments likewise don't seem to be addressing anything I said.
Seriously? What are you supposed to be enemies with the owner the minute she hires you? Think about what your saying and thinking with a little common sense. Obviously you have some biased views that are immovable without any other idea or pieces of evidence that would suggest the contrary.Thats my opinion and I am sticking by it. Vermiel was pals with Georgia, strike one. He coddled horrible person L Phillips. You can call it what you to and make your excuses for him running his players into the ground to the point of mutiny. He would blabber all the time about how hard June Henley "tried" in practice to the point where he actually started significant games when he should have been out of the NFL.
I could predict most of his plays, awful play caller. He cried at the drop of a hat.
Nice man, not a good coach. Martz got a Super Bowl stolen from him. What did he ever win in KC ?
My memory ? So I have taken a blank map of the earth and filled in every single country on it. my memory is not a issue.
You and I not having the same opinion apparently is, to you.
I'd switch out Puka with Kupp there, at this point. There is a theory I read somewhere that says that a team needs 6 elite players to win a Championship.
We have 3, maybe four.
So if we are going to utilize AD-Stafford-Kupp to their fullest, we need to add another 3. Preferably at the most premium positions in the sport outside of QB (i.e., LT, Edge and CB). And these 3 new additions have to produce in their first year with us.
May the force be with Snead this offseason.
I have to admit, I'd really be disappointed in that draft.
The idea of trading 2025 draft selections would be disappointing. And especially if it were for Sanders. I'd be shocked if Powers-Johnson got out of the 2nd round. Not sure he'll make it out of the 1st round.
The Brian Burns or Josh Ushe & CB Jaylon Johnson or Jeff Okudah or their very NEAR EQUIVALENTS is a bit confusing unless you are just focused solely on position and not player quality. From what I understand, Okudah has been a bust to date.
I would take Chris Braswell from Alabama over Trice from Washington and Robinson from Penn St.Still crazy-early but right now, I agree that CB looks deep but not too sure about Edge.
After Latu, Turner, Verse, Chop Johnson and Trice, there may be a big drop-off. Any other guys you really like?
