No. Continue the youth movement. With the amount of picks they have, the team could move around and fill many holes. To have at least four players make an impact should be the goal.

Yeah, I'm not sure that Hopkins gets enough credit for that block. Some fail to realize that it was a very good DE named Sam Hubbard that he stoned to allow Kupp to get the first down.
I was hoping Brycen would use his Super Bowl performance to spring board into a larger role with the Rams, but, alas, it didn't happen

Entirely possible. Could see that one going either way and it might come down to Shelton's demands. Either way I think the bigger question here is whether they can lock down that RG job. If they can ink Dotson they have a ton of room for error at center. And they have the picks they need in that third round range to go get one if they need to.

Obviously the more holes they can prevent or fill prior to the draft the better. So I'd stop short of saying I'm sure they'll draft a center. But I think a window to draft a center is right now if they get Dotson signed. Because at that point they have strong OGs to protect him (many require some time to beef up) and they have a QB who can help train him on pre-snap reads. Once again look up Ragnow's comments on Stafford in his own formative period. And lastly because if we do flip to a young QB in say 2025 or 2026 then the pivot will be in place and trained up to help him out with those reads.

Actually, the ball went to the exact receiver purdy was aiming at. The wr made a great play and caught the ball. On the other side Reynolds dropped two balls on the money. That's the difference between winning and losing.

Quentin Lake made good strides and looks to be a starting S... Yeast looks like a decent back up, but they need a more athletic FS who is a good cover guy to pair with Lake.

Yeah I think the Arthur Smith hiring was a windfall for Pittsburgh. Smith's a good OC. Plus once again when you get a coordinator fresh off a HC failing they tend to be pissed off and often in a great place to excel in that job.

Either way the offensive and defensive gameplanning combo for them will be very strong in 2024. Comes down to whether Pickett can find his nutsack in the pocket I think.

I think a lot of those problems of the left side would go way if there were no more 49ers and their fans. So win-win.

Analytics have their place but people aren't robots. They don't have to stick to the data. If it was a regular season game then its not a big deal. But that was not only their last game. It was their shot at a Super Bowl. A field goal helps kill the Niners momentum. It changes their game plan the rest of the way. No field goals are sure things but they had no trouble letting the kicker try an even longer field goal against the Rams. If he missed it then they Lions would have lost by two points.

Derek Carr is a longevity guy but little success.

Jalen Hurts, Jared Goff, Joe Burrow...Super Bowl losers but only 1 has longevity and peaked 5 years ago.

Josh Allen does meet clutch factor too.

Pretty high bar when only 4 meet those. HoF isn't just having SB ring. It's how a single player was so different from the norm to the point where he became a guy people try to find the next version of or was just so damn good. I.e., Dan Marino and in the WR world Randy Moss both never won Bowls.

Josh Allen = stud. Arm, running, body built like a tank.

CJ is in based on historic rookie #s. He's already surpassed so many other QBs.

You are misunderstanding what I am saying. Any normal HOF candidate has ALL four of these qualities/achievements. Having just one or two of them normally isn't enough to make the HOF, with an exception of a Dan Marino as you said.
I think you are dead wrong on Stroud. If he was injured this offseason and never played football again, there is no way in hell he becomes a Hall of Famer.
As for the "It"/clutch factor in regard to Allen, he has never shown it when it matters: being responsible for getting to and winning a Super Bowl. lets be clear, I like both QB's, but one needs more successful years and the other needs a Super Bowl win. I don't think our beloved Capt Kurt Warner would have become of HOFer without the Super Bowl win in 1999 even though he had a really eventful career otherwise.

With a head coach/OC like McVay, WR is ALWAYS a need!!! Demarcus Robinson signs, not so much. We have Kupp who's missed 20% of the games over his 7 year career. And I don't think he was fully healthy all season. That ain't good. We have Puka. We have Atwell. We have Skowronek. We NEED another WR. Probably 2......another rookie and a vet signing.....if we don't sign Robinson. If we do, just a rookie will do.

Ironically, CB is ALWAYS a need too. It's a passing league. You need to stop the pass. I have a higher opinion of Kendricks than most but what do I know? Durant is good. Tomlinson? Haven't seen him enough but second year coming. Could be a big jump. We need to draft a CB and sign a vet. Same as WR.

I think we need another RB too. And a TE. Allen looks good. Higbee is injured and will be on PUP. Long? He's a blocking TE. We need another receiving TE. If he can block too, all the better. TE is a need.

OL? Sure. Always a need.
Edge is a huge need. (Passing league)
I'd like another ILB too.
QB? Sign Wentz. Draft one next year. Or take one lower this year.

Such a surprise ...

Sanders has been regarded by many as the #2 TE in this class, and trading up for him as Long enters his 'contract' year and Higbee's health status appearing more of a concern than ever. With two 3'rd round draft picks next year, I'm willing to make such a move.

As for Powers-Johnson, him being all over the place by draft pundits makes his final placement difficult, but I've also traded up in an attempt to secure him.

Okudah would need to come with a 1 year 'prove it' contract. His claim to rehabbing a decent future is showing he can play without being an injury liability, ... he's only 24 years old, so pass a tough physical and come in as about half the CAP cost as Jaylon Johnson.
