You got me there. I read overthecap.com wrong. The lower number on later years are if said player is cut the prior season.

That said, 2023 $3.9 million cap savings is hardly minimal for a team tight up against the cap with few ways to obtain more cap space. Again, they've got to sign draft choices AND have enough to make it through the season.

I'd be very surprised if we're picking early enough to be in the QB mix. But I agree the nice thing is if the worst happens and we get a ton of injuries again plus the young players all shit the bed (which is what will be needed to only win a few games) it's a good year to pick high.

Dick Bass went to Vallejo High School at a time when only Juniors and Seniors played. He averaged over 50 yards and nearly 2 touchdowns per 12 minute quarter over 18 games.

They're gonna win plenty of games with their quarterback throwing slants, quick outs, WR screens, etc. And handing off to McCaffrey. But yeah, maybe not with Lance.

Purdy did well because he played within the system and didn't try to do too much. The downside for them is they have a Superbowl caliber roster without a legit Superbowl caliber quarterback. The window is open now. If they don't win a championship it will be deemed a failure. Windows like that don't stay open very long. We know all about that. But we got it done. We'll see about them.

I gave up watching GMF a long time ago. Yes Adams was eye candy but the program lack substance for the most part.

The Rams won't have the fear factor card to play this year because that needs to be earned. But they should be able to sneak up on teams early in the season. That is the only saving grace to having such a brutal starting stretch. IMO this team is better than most on this team know. It's simply a matter of them gaining experience and as such they should improve as the season goes on. With luck they will peak in December and January. If they do it bodes well for their post season. Yup I'm assuming there will be one.

IMO Erdahl is an improvement over Kay who acted like it was a game show which it is. But they simply try to hide it.

When I look at the schedule it really isn't insurmountable. Dissect the teams and they have their own weaknesses. Bottom line is that the Rams have their offense intact with an improved OL. The only question remains is how good or how bad will the defense be. IMO the talent is there for a good defense if they simply use that talent by playing aggressively and to the players strengths.

We know the offense is good. Elite QB and WR, and solid WRs behind them. The Rams have good RBs 3 deep. Just looking at the OL they look like a very good group with a lot of options and combinations. That will all get worked out in OTAs. Their P and PK look like they could be very good. So WTF is with all the doom and gloom?

The only real question is the defense and in reality the only question is why the fuck is Morris still DC? Let him call plays, but keep him the fuck off the practice field. This defense can be very good if played properly.

11 wins is realistic. 12 wins possible. 10 wins bare minimum. As long as their core players stay reasonably healthy all season, this team will make it to the playoffs. Once in the playoffs seeding is everything as we saw in 2021. Top Wildcard is better than 3rd or 4th seeded division champ.

My AFC team to root for has always been the Bills. Great dedicated fans including my deceased father. Horrible 4 Super Bowl losses in a row. Underdog small market. But I’m not the biggest Josh Allen/Stephen Diggs fan. They both have an air of arrogance that goes beyond confidence. As a result I’ve added the Lions to the mix recently to root for. Just like their rising underdog status and what they’ve done the last 3 years. And yes I’m a big Hoff fan despite some serious shortcomings over the years with the Rams.

Janet wasn't ready to marry or so she said. God knows I would have married her if she wanted. She had her own demons she was raped by her father between 10 & 13 before her mother caught him and shot him. Her mother committed suicide in prison doing 15 years for protecting her daughter. We helped each other. Understanding my utter devastation helped her understand her mother. She was basically a lesbian and I was the only man that she ever had sex with other than her father. I lost track of her in 1998 but we had gotten each other through the worst of times. At our last breakfast while Janet was taking a shower, her grandmother thanked me for helping her. That is when I found out what happened to her mother though I knew about the incest as the reason she didn't find men sexually attractive.

Janet made me realize it was okay to love and be loved again. I've been more than fortunate to have had some great women in my life.

If anyone out there is in trouble or knows anyone who might be, sometimes the best intervention is just a sympathetic ear and a non-judgemental mind. You don't really need to say much of anything, sometimes just being there to honestly listen is enough.

I suppose it's why fresh cherries will forever be my favorite fruit.
