Signature Wins

I was watching the college football rankings show last night and they were talking about "signature wins". We've heard that term with NFL teams, usually up and coming teams. So what about NFL teams? Here's a list of NFL teams with a winning record and IMO, their best wins. Are they signature wins?

N.England (Buffalo)
Buffalo (Baltimore, KC)
Pittsburgh (Indy)
Indy (Denver, LAC)
Jax (San Fran, KC)
Denver (Philly)
LAC (KC, Denver)
KC (Detroit)

Philly (KC, Rams)
Green Bay (Detroit)
Detroit (Baltimore, Tampa)
Chicago ???????
Tampa (Seattle, San Fran)
Carolina (Green Bay)
Rams (Indy)
Seattle (Washington)
San Fran (Seattle, LAR)

Certainly, some of those "signature wins" are going to turn out not to be as such. When did the team beat Baltimore? Is Kansas City hard to beat with 4 losses? Is Indy for real? Tampa? Washington is certainly not the Washington from 2024. And let's face it, there are a lot of possible signature wins yet to come on all of their schedules. The next 3 weeks for the Rams could all surpass the Indy win.

Rams Run Defense

With some of the offseason moves that were made
I think we all knew that our run D would be better than last years.

This just a shot of the fantasy league i am in. notice the red type
under caffrey and the reason for the red type is because the Rams
have given up the least amount of fantasy points to RB"s
of any team in the league.
There are teams that talk about improving And then there are the Rams
A team walks the walk!!!

In case you're wondering my team is on the other side
With Davante Adams. the TD machine lol

Stafford #1 in QB power rankings

Well deserved!

1. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

It was another stellar game from Matthew Stafford through the air, as the Los Angeles Rams now move to 6-2 on the season with a blowout win over the New Orleans Saints. The Rams were fresh off of their bye and really just took the time to get healthy for the stretch run.

This was not a game that the Rams had to do much to win, and while they obviously had to score some points, the Saints were never going to be a match for LA. Stafford is playing the best football of his career if you ask me and has now been the best QB in the NFL this year.

He’s stacked touchdown pass after touchdown pass in recent weeks and has been taking care of the ball at an insanely high level this year as well. Back when Stafford got traded to the Rams in 2021, I had said to myself that I thought he was going to win an MVP award.

Well, with his torrid start here in the 2025 NFL Season, an MVP award feels possible, and the Rams are plenty good enough to win the Super Bowl this year. Matthew Stafford is no. 1 in our power rankings as Week 9 closes out.

Stafford for MVP

Nate is no Jourdan but he's rounding into form. Nice insights sprinkled in this article.

Lots of talk last night on socials about Stafford being in convo for MVP. He absolutely should be and if he keeps up this play there's no reason he's not top 2 options right now.

Playoffs(???) and the remaining NFC gauntlet schedule

Alright, we've swept the AFC and just played our easiest NFC game. We're 1-2 in the NFC and every game here on out has a direct impact on our playoff picture. We have 5 division games remaining and the two division leaders of the NFC North and NFC South. The next 4 games will truly let us know how we stack up against the best of the NFC.

I'd say the three games I've highlighted are must wins if we want to avoid a low playoff seed. We have to beat the niners to win the division, and the other two have head-to-head tie breaker implications. At least splitting Seattle is a must. I will be ecstatic if we win the next three.
