We haven't had a winning season since 2003 and people want to talk about playoff records?

What long term QB option is out there for us?

People are picky. Get Manning healthy and he will return to form. Guy was playing hurt.

I keep seeing Johnny Unitas in a Chargers uniform. I really think Peyton's time is up, and I don't want the Rams to pay what they would have to in order to find out, especially with a Wells-and-Joseph sized hole in our OL.

Pass.

In order to do something in the playoffs, we have to get to the playoffs. The last time we did that was in 2004.

Absolutely.

If we can't get a top QB in this draft... Load up on the OL.

Sure, if Buffalo doesn't grab him first.

If I were Manning, I'd play in St. Louis long before Buffalo. That Buffalo weather would cause issues for him.

LOL! How is this even a discussion? I bet anything he'd be the best QB we'd have statistically since Bulger easy, maybe even Kurt. People are talking about his playoff record? Correct me if I'm wrong people but do you realize we haven't been to the playoffs since 2004? If we even got to the playoffs and lose I'd take it over the bullshit we've had the last decade. Bradford could sit and learn from Peyton and make sure he's 110% healthy. Besides if we didn't' go that route who are we going to use as a starter? Bradford? A busted QB who can't stay healthy? Shaun 'I have the gout' Hill?? Austin 'pick 6' Davis??? seriously? What QB will be available in the draft for us at #10 without giving up a RG3 trade? I'd take two years of giving our D something to dominate with a lead over our pathetic excuse for QB's blowing leads and basically handing the game over.

p.s. I'm sure for this to even be a remote possibility we'd somehow have to shore up the OL because that bullshit from last year isn't going to protect anybody from getting injured.

Yes. But Peyton doesn't do well against NFC west defenses. But....he would have a great one in ours. Manning can win some low scoring games. Let Greg the Leg wrack up our points. Take the 3 points as soon as we're in his range. I don't care what down it is.

To me, all I had to do was watch several games this year to have almost made up my mind about Manning's future...I watched yesterday's game, now "almost" has left the building... Almost EVERY ball he threw yesterday was up for grabs...Blame that on being hurt if you like, I can't...I really think he's done...He can probably drag out a couple more years if he so desires, but I hope he'll call it a day, buy a big vault and count his money as long as he likes...Nobody thinks more of Peyton Manning's career than I do, I just think it's over...

if bradford were to restructure and we'd get Peyton on a somewhat reasonable deal (not $15 million+ for manning), yea, sure...let bradford learn behind an all time great + giving his leg additional time to rehab...

Absolutely, know how, experience, ability to teach on the field and a bridge to our next QB or Insurance for our oft injured present QB.

Love Manning but he doesn't look at all like the Manning of old. He needs to retire before he starts embarrassing himself. We beat him down so bad, I'm not sure he recovered.

No. I don't think Peyton can lead this team to a SB and I don't think him serving as a stopgap would do any good for the team in the long run.

ha true. I just don't think he has much left honestly.. I'd rather develop our own guy instead of renting Manning for a year
