McCleod is a straight baller. Sure he isn't athletic like JJ, but he is a heck of a lot smarter. That's why I voted JJ.

McCleoud had a better year than JJ last year too.

I think Mcleod is the weakest link talent wise, but I don't think he sucks. He has really started to develop into something lately. Every year he has seen significant improvement and that has to count for something!

We are talking projected starters not 2nd and3rd stringers but in my mind the weakest link is Janoris Jenkins. Exhibit A your honor San fran before half time. I rest my case. McLeod hasn't done anything like that so I don't understand why all the hate.

Hate is a strong word, not seeing it applied correctly here.

My opinion of McLeod is that at best he's adequate, nothing more nothing less. He does get picked on, just like Craig Dahl was picked on, should be obvious I would think.

As for JJ, all he does is draw the oppositions number 1 WR week end and week out, we as fans may have our opinions but my line of thinking is that is the job of your best CB, yeah he's a risk taker, perhaps he needs to learn when and when not, I'm pretty sure thru Fishers eye, he is our best cover guy.

I would have included Dunbar, and then picked him, I guess he's no longer starting

1. McLeod. Really want to see what Joyner can do back there.
2. JJ.

Really hoping for some DB help early next year in the draft.

JJ get's picked on to but McLeod is no Craig Dahl. When was the last time McLeod just literally blew games because his crooked eye had him take the worst angle possible? I'm not saying McLeod is Charles Woodson but he's not as bad as everybody makes him out to be. Either way I think it's a moot point since Barron takes the job this season. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

When HEALTHY Tru is probably our best man coverage corner.

A PHX sighting. That makes my day. (y)

I answered the poll with McCleod, but think the answer is JJ. Janoris is covering his man in space and when he makes a mistake it ends in a TD. When McLeod makes a mistake and misses a tackle it is usually because other players made bad plays in front of him.

I voted for Jenkins. I think if the poll had asked 'Who is our scariest player,' Jenkins would be in the lead.

I would have to say Jenkins. YES, he's talented, but he also takes stupid chances that fail more often than not. He does get an INT every once in a while, but at what cost? This, coupled with the cost of resigning him...well...If I had to make a choice right now about whether to re'sign him or not, I would say no. If he does great and plays more disciplined, unselfish football this year, I might change my mind...McCleod would be my second choice, just because of the lack of natural ability, but he also hits hard (I LIKE)

The weakest link on the D is a non-player, and that is the head linesman for failing to call all the many obvious holds on The Mighty One. He needs to be publically scourged for every missed call.

I would say McCleod and Jenkins as a duo. How many times were were burned last year by a miscommunication between those two?

Not a bad "compromise", Castamere. Lol.

I'll say this...

If, somehow, a CB or a FS happened to be BPA next year at our pick, I wouldn't exactly be disappointed.

It's interesting that the Rams gave a 2nd round tender to a guy who many believe is the weakest link on defense.

But McLeod's tender is for $2.356 million. The Rams aren't in any cap trouble. And if the organization saw him as a weak link, I'd guessed he would have gotten the minimum tender.

I was sawyed by the big play too, so I went with Jenkins as the weakest link on this list provided.

Alot of folks here are assuming tha Akeem Ayers is taking over for Dunbar.. but in the immortal words of Lee Corso...."Not So Fast my Friends!"

I'm not sure if Akeem Ayers is starting material. If he's starting then I think he's the weak link. I think Jo Lonn should start and Ayers comes in on obvious passing downs. Remember that the Titans drafted him high in the 2nd round but eventually traded him and a 7th round pick to New England for a 6th round pick.
