At the time of the games those offenses were better. You have to factor in Pitt has been without Ben for the last 3 games until this week as well..
Green Bay still scores 24 PPG. But when you manage 140ish yards against Denver that will drop you back quite a bit.

I'm not saying we are any great team, but I do think this will be the biggest challenge you've faced thus far, IMO. Our D is legit. Seems yours is as well.

Now about our offenses...LOL

Lol ya, I've got nothing to brag about with our offense. They couldn't score in a porn set.

Hello! Another Vikings fan here!
I expect this game to be a defensive battle as both of our defenses are very good. I have seen a lot of people kn your site say that Gurley is unstoppable and he is going to run all over us because nobody has stopped him yet. I think this is a very wrong way to think, not only is our rushing defense very good (especially with Sharriff Floyd playing, I hope he is.) although I do think Gurley is very good, I think our defense will limit him and force the game into Foles hands. Captain Munnerlyn has been playing great football this year and I think will handle Austin in the slot, it is one of the match ups I am looking forward to.

I think containg Gurley will hinge greatly on the play of our D line, mainly Linval Joseph and floyd. Joseph is having a pro bowl year and is very disruptive in the trenches. Floyd has been out of the past two games with some injuries but before he got hurt was pretty much unblockable.
Also, the speed of our young linebackers is going to come into play, Anthony Barr and erik kendricks are both studs and very fast. Kendricks is a tackling machine and is definitely in the talks for defensive rookie of the year. Probably the most under rated player in our defense and does not get much love is Harrison the hitman Smith, dude is all over the field and can lay the pipe when it come to hitting people.

Our offense will run the ball (duh ). They will try to establish the running game with AP and I kinda hope they put Patterson back there a couple times to see what happens, I think he had 100 plus yards rushing against you guys last year. Stephon diggs is having a crazy good year and is already being labeled the steal of the draft, he also could challenge your Gurley for offensive ROY. With diggs, wallace johnson rudolph Jarius wright and our back up running backs in mckinnon and asiata I think we will put your defense to the test.

I think a close game with hopefully no injuries.

Green Bay is 28th in total O, Pitt is 12th, I wouldn't call that best in the league. That title belongs to the Chargers who the Vikings dismantled. They pulled Rivers in early in the 4th and put a backup in because he was getting hurt.
A win at AZ (3rd) there, was huge and very, very impressive. I've got nothing there. I'm not a huge stat guy, I won't pretend to be, I'd much rather gather opinions by watching the game, and I'm the first to admit I haven't watched a full Rams game so I might be reaching there.
Granted we haven't played really hard teams, but good teams beat bad teams, and minus the SF game (SMH) that is what the vikes are doing.

This is how this season gets things skewed . Vikings beat KC without their best player that was over 60% of their offense. Ben Rothlessberger finally got his stud RB back in game 3 vs the RAMS and their high flying offense at that time put up 12 points. We had no GURLEYII for them yet. Once you have seen Ben and Brown play catch (or TRY...LOL) with a healthy Bell as they had to try their other RB due to Bell not breaking anything. I feel confident we can put a major stop on mr jumpcut Peterson. We have seen Chris Johnson in Phoenix. Lacy was shutdown and #44 replaced him also as both had 20 something yards. We beat Seattle and lost to skins without our best player. I think gameplan is much more important as the skins used 3 TE's and it took us too long to adjust.

The vikes will be Forced to throe early and fast or Bridgewater will be lost for a few games at least. Donald and Brockers MUST be double teamed leaving our Quinn,Long,Hayes,Simms,Westbrooks & blitzers get HOME HARD. This is makeup for the MUDBOWL not (rain bowl) RAMS wore away whites and you could'nt read name or numbers after that GREAT game and loss.

ITS MY PAYBACK game!!! NO INJURIES!!!

I'm thinking this is going to be a reminiscing game for me in that it will be easy to pretend Bud Grant and Chuck Knox are still roaming the sidelines.

I wanted Kendricks soo bad in the draft even tho he is small he had great #'s at UCLA . I don't think Munnerlyn can bring down GURLEYII. Or even slow him up. We are so far ahead of last years "D" that you can't compare them. The Chemistry is just now setting up just short of a well oiled unit. We miss gaining TO's as 3 guys knock each other off a tipped ball. DE bats down balls regularly as our Pro Bowl shutdown Corner Jenkins had the ball for a pick six all the way. We signed two FA's in Ayers from the Pats SB team last year and Fairley a 1st rounder is finally playing to the level we expected out of both of these BACKUPS. We are scarey DEEP and will rotate all game.

May be a test of who's defense is deeper. If so I can see none other like ours. Your "D" will be tested if we can get some drives established. You will NOT win by more than 6. Your offense is not in Arizona's or the Steelers with healthy Ben.Brown,Miller & Bell . No other team but the RAMS saw that team as we knocked Ben out for3-5 weeks in 3rd quarter. Knocked out McCown also. Johnny football is starting Thursday as McCown is still hurt and played through it in loss to Cards. No way can vikes put up 24 on this RAMS "D". We may lose but that score you will not see.

NO INJURIES!!!

@GabesHorn said everything I was going to. Patterson got one 80 yard run against Gregg Williams' first game D.
Comparing that D to now is.......

Let's just put it like this. I PRAY Turner and Zimmer game plan based on last years opener, (but they won't).

I'll also guarantee it ends up a 3-6 point game, and don't know which way.

I watch Rams and Vikings every week with a Vikings fan/buddy at a sports bar, and their D is for real, as are Bridgewater and Diggs. Should be a good one.

I just want our team to take a long look at the beating the Vikings laid on the Rams last year. That was the worste game of the year IMO and set the tone for the whole season. I was there, it was awful. I'm seeking some serious redemption this week for that experience.

Vikings are a good team and the resemblance is striking. Kinda like when we had the GSOT and you guys has Culpepper, Moss, and Carter. Now we have Gurley and you have Peterson. Pretty cool.

I do believe we field a better defense, though. That's offset with your guys's passing game. This game is crazy close and it should be on prime time. Could easily be the best game this week.

This game has potentially huge Playoff implications. It gives one of us the tie breaker and so on.

I'd take the Rams D over the Vikings D, not saying your D is bad, it is playing really good, just think we have the edge. But you do have the edge on offense, especially at WR.

P.S. I am a Maryland guy and love me some Stefon Diggs. You got a gamer with him.

Diggs is the lone bright spot in our receiving corp. Wallace and Johnson have been huge disappointments, based on their expectations, and their struggles severely hampered Teddy's progression, IMO.

This should be a great game!

FTR, I'm a huge UGA fan and have seen every collegiate play of Gurley's career! Back when trade rumors were swirling around Peterson pre-draft, I was hoping they would trade him for a pick that would get them TG. I'm happy we have Adrian, but he will be gone in a year or two, before Gurley even hits his prime. You got a good one there!

I think the Rams have the best front 4 in the league, as they should with four 1st round picks devoted to that unit. But I think the Vikings have the advantage with their back 7.

Granted, I'm basing this more off of what I know about the Vikes, and admittedly, am not overly familiar with your players at those positions.

What's the story with your LB's and DB's?

The Vikings have, what most consider, the best safety in the league in Harrison Smith. At the LBer spots we have Barr and Kendricks who are young and athletic, along with our top corner Xavier Rhodes. Those 4 are the top players of that squad. The only "meh" player in that entire 7-man group is FS Andrew Sendejo, and he's really the only player on the entire defense that I'd place in that category.

James Laurinaitis(our MLB), started off slow this year but has gotten better each game and is playing really good. He is the one who scored the safety for us last week.

Alex Ogletree is out on IR designated to return(week 16) and we have moved Mark Barron from SS/LB hybrid into the weakside lb role and he has played lights out. Vs the Browns he had 19 tackles, a few tackles for loss, and a FF or two i believe.

On the other side we have Akeem Ayers who has done a really solid job and has been an upgrade over Dunbar.

In the secondary Jenoris Jenkins is having an incredible year. It's a contract year and he is going to get a huge pay day. Im talking top 5 pay day.

Trumaine Johnson(our other starting cb) is doing well. He is in a contract year as well. Not sure we will be able to keep both.

Our other corners are actually playing quite well too and young (Joyner, Roberson).

Our safeties(Mcdonald SS and McLeod FS) are doing great. We were running the big nickle a lot with Barron as a 2nd SS on the field but after Tree got hurt they moved him and as I said, has been a stud in the role. McDonald is a beast and will light any up, He is a top SS IMO. McLeod I have harped on for a while but even I will admit that he is playing good. Went from UDFA to ST ace to starting role and has just kept improving. Still needs to keep progressing but I no longer feel he should be replaced by an early round draft pick like last year.

Think we'll be fine keeping them both. The salary cap is projected to raise its ceiling next offseason plus we'll probably cut/restructure Cook or Long in order to make room for Jenkz and Johnson.

That paper you can WIPE YOUR ASS ON. The RAMS are #1 in REDZONE DEFENSE . We let teams play between the 20's as a FREAKING game plan just to shut them down and hold for FieldGoals as we believe also that is Only done with Elite Passing teams like we have played and you have seen one. The one some actually questioned if Peyton should be benched when they are undefeated. Then Peyton lights up the Packers and we beat that awesome Broncos team last season. It was not close either.

You have T.J. Clemmings going against *QUINN*??? The Pro Bowler will eat the rooks lunch if he does not skip town and Hayes the rotating DE is also playing at his highest level in his career Check PFF if your into those stats. Stats are not playing this game. You are on your backup Center who must face Last Years Rookie Of The Year and a LOCK as the #1 DL playing in the NFL TODAY!!! Check PFF if your such a stat guy. Aaron Donald is even breaking all of J.J. Watt #records set in the DL category.

Aaron Donald and fellow #1 draft pick in his WELL SEASONED and beyond a doubt BEST season Michael Brockers (LSU)are penetrating and taking and BEATING double teams every week. Choose your poison on whom to help. Your center will need major help and your right tackle is in major trouble. Joseph is great and your rookie returning on a Bad Wheel in Floyd who I live here at FSU and see every Gator game ever and know what talent he brings.

I have not even looked up this record. Which set of DT's has the most Sacks,Hurries,Pressures,Safeties? I already know the answer . Donald is taking handoffs in backfields and Brockers penetrating as his Bulldozing safety last week that shows serious penetration FAST. Please watch a RAMS game before our game Sunday so your Jaw won't drop.

Our #1 drafted DE's and rotation guys are ALL Freaks so Bridgewater will be changing to quick very short passes or he won't be playing for a while. We caused Aaron Rodgers to break his forever No Interception streak in Lambeau from NONE to TWO in one game plus a Fumble and a rating that matched his Denver game. Your QB is NOT Aaron Rodgers and is a lot smaller and runs like Wilson tried in our Seahawks game with 6 sacks. Don't know if we are still in a tie for leading in sacks with another team. I promise you our coach has called off the dogs and rested players last week in early 3rd quarter to have them Extra ready for this PAYBACK BITCHSLAP Game that caught three OL that played in that game to NOT be RAMS this season.

Our OL is ALL High Drafted Giant 45-50+ straight games played without injury and from OTA's they have grown with the #2 OVERALL player drafted in (OLT) Greg Robinson. They have improved game by game and the ceiling is freakin high with this crew. Glad they have played 7 games together and gelled Before this vikes game. They mess up but bounce right back. NO INJURIES!!! and your OL has been moved around with injuries. Clemmings will struggle and so will your center. Then add Greg Williams the crazy Blitzer adding his magic. He has a SB ring with the Saints "D" and you remember "BountyGate"? Thats him. So I'm sorry Bridgewater may be in Danger. Hope zimmer helps the young qb out of a major injury. Watch our games and look at the HITS the qb takes during the game. If not able to shake off hard hits and play level headed later on instead of the Happy Feet we are USED to seeing this year. Wide open guys are missed due to the QB not wanting to get hit again. This is our "D" this season.

Not afraid of any RB in the league. We will have that covered with our secure wrapping up and hitting. I will say short passes to Rudolph will be your best play. I know my "D". They will be short with NO RAC. Depends how many targets you give him. Wallace(hands of Stone) is like a couple WR's we have. GURLEYII is BETTER than AP and the Torch WILL Be Passed.

CRUSH THE vikes!!! NO INJURIES!!!

Nice to see you come to our board. Please understand, your Vikings tore my heart out too many times during the 70's. I will be polite, but my ire for your team is high. I will talk a little smack, so...I hope we put a whopping on the Vikings this weekend.

Still have nightmares of Tarkington, Foreman, and the "Purple People Eaters" Defense.
