ME: This smells like a "leak" to Schefter. I doubt the market is that great for Foles and that it will only materialize on the 3rd day of the draft.

The Rams are going to add a quarterback on Thursday night with the first pick of the draft.

They may delete one from the roster before the week is out as well. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that “several teams” are interested in acquiring Foles.

Foles was acquired in the trade with the Eagles forSam Bradford last year and signed an extension with the Rams in August before opening the season as the Rams’ starter. Foles did not play well in 11 starts before giving way to Case Keenum, however, and the Rams also have 2015 third-round pick Sean Mannion on the depth chart.

With Keenum running ahead of Foles as a possibility to start if Jared Goff, who looks like he will be the Rams’ choice on Thursday, isn’t ready to go at the start of the season, moving Foles would give the Rams the chance to add a draft pick after sending several to the Titans in the trade for the first pick.

The Broncos and Jets are currently without surefire starters, although the market for Foles may tilt more toward teams looking for backups after he flopped last season.

One of the 3 has to moved before or during the draft. Foles is indeed the odd man out and unfortunately, has the highest salary. So, yea...anything they can get for him is gravy.

Let's all hope the "Fisher can't develop a QB" crowd, (I disagree), is well represented in NFL GMs looking for a qB.

Foles has some value dudes. I mean just look at this market during the FA season this year. He's got experience, has shown he can play well when all around him is right, teams have needs for depth at the position.

My bet is Dallas ends up being the trade partner, since I doubt they can find a better backup option this late in the game and their need is the most severe. If I had to guess, I'd say the Rams push for a round 4 pick but end up with a round 5 for him.

Not for whichever team trades for him. Most of his pay is the roster bonus that has already been paid. He gets less than $2 million in salary this year - which is small for a veteran backup QB. Keenum is due double the salary.

And yes, I'd be very happy with a fifth. And a bit surprised.

Well, actually you want four QBs in TC and for the pre-season. Less than four means your top throwers might end up throwing too much. They may move Nick, but look for them to add another arm while Case, Sean, and the #1 overall pick hash things out.

I'm just not sure what they can get for him. Even if a team really does want Foles--they know the position the Rams are in--and realistically can't have him on the roster this season. Can't they just wait it out? You have to get more than one team interested and then make them BELIEVE the other team really will give up something--and maybe--just maybe--they toss something the Rams way.

If Snead gets anything for him it'll be the best trick since Copperfield made the Statue of Liberty vanish.

Like said already I would take anything for him since he is most likely a camp cut anyway. We need more picks this year so preferably we get one. Snead seems to do well in the 6th round save a few so lets just get one of those and I'll be ecstatic. :)

if they get anything more then a 5th for him I would cry tears of joy.

Get what ever you can for him even if it's just a 7th.

I will take a bag of chips for Foles, I have seen enough from him.

A 5th round pick I'll take it and I believe it will be the Dallas Cowboys.

I would do backflips if we got a 2029 conditional 7th.

Foles and one of our 4th for a 3rd round pick! Do it Do it DO IT.
