I've heard Whispers lately from a few about Sean Mannion on the great ROD board.... Honestly Mannion likely is better than Goff as of today July 29th 2016..

When Goff has finished a couple of weeks of training camp, those whispers will become so silent that all we will be able to hear is.........................................

I am a Mannion fan, but Goff is so much better in his footwork. His release is so much faster than Mannion's, even though Mannion has gotten better. I hope Mannion is a franchise QB as well, which would be GREAT for the Rams in a future trade...

Sean Mannion couldn't get on the field when the Rams had the worst QB situation in the NFL. The Rams drafted Nick Foles 2.0 in Mannion. He's a career backup. Goff is a franchise QB. They don't even look remotely similar.

Goff is so much better than Mannion. It's not even close. Goff has the pocket presence of a Peyton Manning with the release of a Tom Brady. Sean Mannion is closer to Nick Foles in those areas than any star.

*Note: I'm not saying Goff will be Manning or Brady. Just in some areas he has the tools like them. He has a lot of work to do especially mentally, but a guy like Mannion has no shot to get even close. Goff has the ability to be up there. He has pocket presence, he has accuracy, he has a quick release with good arm strength, and he's a tough SOB. All at 21. He has all the tools of a franchise QB.

Mannion reminds me more of a Flacco or (going way back) Drew Bledsoe type. I see very little parallels between Goff and Mannion's style.
