I mean he really has no reason to be salty. He got what he was worth granted it wasn’t with the Rams but still. He has worked with OBJ and his opinion holds more water than ours at the moment.
But we fans are so much better at not being emotional. ;)

Translation for me is JJ isn't sure OBJ will do the work. JJ knows how hard our WRs work. He's seen OBJ in action in Cleveland.

OBJ there is zero question with the guy outside of whether he's bought in and whether he's going to do the work and take coaching without acting like a child. So it's risky no doubt about it. But what are they really risking? If he doesn't buy in on We Not Me they'll cut him like they did DJax.

I'm with you on this one. Basically I think the guy is who we think he is. But there's always room for a player to redefine everything by his play on the field and how he conducts himself off it. And can you imagine if he fully buys in? Got my fingers crossed even though I am not confident in him by any means.
Man I didn't get that out of his statements at all. He said the offense runs through Kupp, he's not sure how OBJ is going to get an the touches he wants/merits given that fact, but if anyone can figure it out it's McVay.

Where in there you got that OBJ isn't going to do the work is a mystery to me.

It seemed more like commentary on offensive design rather than work ethic. If everything is built around Kupp's ability, the claim JJ made, how do you scheme in someone like OBJ who had unique traits that can also be schemes around? Two offensive styles you switch back and forth between (and how do you implement that mid season?) or totally new offensive concepts (and how do you implement that mid season?) or something else?

Obviously you're free to interpret however you want, but I'm curious how you got there as he didn't say anything like that.

OBJ is a fool if he can't make this work. McVay isn't the coach we think if he can't make this work. That is why I think it will work. Woods is the heart and soul of this team and a bigger loss than anybody on the outside could understand, but woods will be on the sidelines when he can to help OBJ and the team has a lot of veteran leadership. I still think they can win it all. Injuries are part of the game. It is time for the team to pull together and make this happen.

.

Well I have to admit that with woods going down this was an astute signing by the Rams.

With OBJ's talent if he was locked in mentally there would be zero problem and zero concern in getting him touches.

Had DeSean Jackson been a team player, he would have become a starter in our offense and while it sucks to lose Woods, we would have still been ok. OBJ has talent but he can turn toxic which worries me.

DeSean Jackson is one of the best examples of Karma I've witnessed in recent times. Most figured he was our #4 WR at the time of his meltdown, since his episode and subsequent release, within days the Rams also lost TuTu Atwell, Jacob Harris & Robert Woods. How many targets would DJ have received had he managed to keep his mouth shut for just a few days longer ?

Like most, I was fine with the OBJ acquisition. I like the talent, but he really hadn't truly produced for 5 years. Headcase, cancer, prima-donna, etc. Was hard to be a fan before horns. He's most certainly one of the top 10-15 WR's in the NFL in terms of talent.

I liked the acquisition because he is talented, obviously chasing a ring, and...........we could cut him if he became a problem. Win-win.

Now that our WR corps has been struck with multiple injuries, we are certainly counting on OBJ. More than I, as a fan, feel comfortable with. Outside of his first year with the Giants, I have only known him to be a cancer. I have to believe some current players who likely have no idea what he is truly like have the same feelings. I realize the whole WR room wanted him when he was on video, but deep down and I have to believe there are some thoughts about how he is going to fit. I sure hope he comes in with his head on straight and conforms to being a Ram right away. Even more than that, I hope he doesn't put McSnead into a position of having to cut him.

On an aside, if Les was looking for WR support (Reynolds claim as my only evidence) before OBJ, I have to assume he's now looking again, particularly with the WR injuries.

I haven‘t seen a lot of Beckham, particularly once he went to the AFC.

This highlight video is, if nothing else, a good example of his athleticism. Beckham is a #1 caliber WR. It jumps out. Just watch.

I hope this works out, because I’d be open to keeping him around.

He is a stud that will thrive here.

What I'm really loving hearing is that he can be used on some punts. I really don't ever want to see Kupp back there anymore unless its only to fair catch, which seems to be what he's back there for. But, just imagine a team in the NFL conceiting that they will never return a punt for any positive yards, no matter what the kick is like. If there is a punt we absolutely need to get positive yards on, OBJ would be a nice option. In reality, we should pick up another WR from a PS that has some ability to return. I'm done seeing Howell and Stow back there lumbering around and losing net yards.

Saw this Shefter update and found a few interesting comments.

Favorite: “No. 3 also was attractive to Beckham, but the number belongs to injured Rams running back Cam Akers for next season, and Beckham and the Rams would like their relationship to go beyond this year.”

Since Wolford has 13, they decided to have him wear 3 this season and switch to 13 next season. Pretty cool they’re thinking this, not sure what it means for Wolfy :(

Well... from what I've seen from Wolfy since the wild card game last year I'd be fine with him being gone next year.
