Apparently you've never read Bill Plaschke. He's bad enough to drag the entire LA Times sports staff down to any depth you wish to project. He's indefensible in his blubbery and emotional asshatery.
And Bill Plashke is a step up from TJ Simers. Simers was the worst.

Truth is I'm sure nobody associated with the Rams regrets their move to Los Angeles.

If you mean employees/players etc I'm guessing that there are some, but I'm not sure how we could measure that or why it matters.

Most fans that follow the Rams now, have experienced bitterness towards a Ram's owner. I despised Georgia F and the Lou fans despise Stan K.

I think that most fans who have been around for awhile dislike both. And for very similar reasons.

Probably many fans in LA are happy that SK decided to go to LA, however I'm certain they are clear that he did it to fleece the market out of as much jack as possible, not to make old school LA Rams fans happy. GF moved for the same reason, to fleece STL.

This team has been plagued by bad ownership and it's distressing as a long time fan.

But I can't quit now.

Big difference between the two moves Les.

Stan is investing millions and millions of his own money to build the most impressive stadium of all time for his team. Of course he's doing that in the most desirable location. He's not fleecing anyone. He's spending his own money on his own business.

What that woman did was the exact opposite.

No comparison.

You do realize that Kroenke is the Rams owner because Georgia brought him in to facilitate the move to St. Louis, right?

Not to mention that she didn't have the finances to be an owner.

One does not necessarily have anything to do with the other. Stan was a partial owner that absolutely went along with that sweetheart deal (who wouldn't as a busineman). Once Stan took full ownership, he had his own vision. This is his vision of the perfect NFL franchise. His money, his vision.

As a die hard Rams fan, I am OK with one of the richest owners in sports bankrolling my favorite team and making moves like this. As a fellow Rams fan, I absolutely understand how the St. Louis area fans feel. I was very upset to see how that all went down and how ugly things went for the fans in the Lou. It was ugly. No doubt about it. I can only take the long view and hope that the vision leads to more stability and more wins for the team that so many of us have loved and followed through 35+ years of.... this.

When you say things like " a place like STL" that's disparaging and disrespectful there are plenty of journalists in LA that has a lot of negative things to say about the Rams too. Hell I don't like a lot of the things the reporters are saying about the Rams here in STL but keep your ire towards the reporter and don't say things like a place like STL

Apparently you've never read Bill Plaschke. He's bad enough to drag the entire LA Times sports staff down to any depth you wish to project. He's indefensible in his blubbery and emotional asshatery.

There are plenty of people who if you say one thing perceived bad about STL they break out in a bad case of sandin vaginitis and it does get a bit over played but I guess I've never lived in a city or area my team uprooted and played for.

Let's be honest with eachother here, the sports media in STL is a 'keep the status quo and be lazy, salty, hacks' who write shit articles. Same goes for a lot non Rams as well. The up and comers seem to be driven out or opressed and will get no play unless the BS common garbage belches forth.

With that being said most of the guys from LA are shit as well. I love how any comment disparaging anything STL and has zero do with a fan base and there is already " well L.A. This And L.A.that. Whoooooooaaaaaa! Calm your tits. I'm not bashing anybody, just making an analytical observation.

Now in retrospect, some cities with some decent sports writers ( albeit not perfect which is rare now a days in the profession) is Seattle, Denver, Phoenix, Dallas but all the bs Cowturd stuff gets old, and Pittsburgh. And i dare some I've read some good work out of the Bay Area.

Jeff Gordon on his best day is a poor sports writer AND a tick poor representative of his profession.

I've never understood why he's remained employed by the Post-Dispatch, tbh.

His calling is as a political writer. A hyper biased one, at that.

Agreed. I moved back to the St. Louis area from Columbus, OH back in 1989. I grew up in region of St. Louis and had never heard of this cat before. When I read his articles, and heard him on KMOX, I was like wtf? Who is this bleeping idiot. I've ignored him since moving back here. He would be more suited to be a political hack than a sportswriter for sure.

I know everything about that woman using this franchise as her sole source of income. Why would you even ask that ridiculous question?

As I was pointing out to Les... there is no comparison between that woman and Stan when it comes to being an NFL owner.

It's still designed to do the same thing. At least the stadium portion of the development is.........it's being built to generate $$$.

Quite frankly, I'm shocked that such an offensive title to this thread has been allowed to remain so long.

This, right here, is how I feel about the move.

Don't have a problem with the move itself.. it's how it went down... how the fans of STL were - IMO - severely mis-treated.

Gordon is almost as salty as the collection over at the surprisingly still active /r/stlouisrams. It's painful to go in there and read stuff and amazing that they still post in there.
