Anyone who has watched Goff has seen his stellar play when given even just decent o-line play. Once the o-line issues are resolved he will once again be rated among the elite.....just shows you how stupid and bogus these rankings are.
This QB was good enough to get the team to the Super Bowl with decent o-line play last in 2019 but now suddenly he isn't good enough? Hello....last I heard the NFL was a team sport.
This team has a good RB, a very good QB, and excellent WRs and TEs. What it lacked last year was good play on the o-line and why was that? They continued to play Blythe and Havenstein who really were exposed as the scrubs they are. It's no coincidence that once Havenstein was replaced things got better. But last year also exposed horrendous coaching both with the RBs but more importantly with the o-line.
Even with the subpar coaching of Dickenson and Kromer, I can see this o-line becoming a very good unit because of the talent they have. Spend the offseason coaching the young guys up in gap blocking and inside zone blocking technique, and installing a better run attack scheme and the balanced offense of 2018 will return. QB play will also return to the level fans expect.
Even without much of a run attack and substandard o-line play just remember it was 2 missed FG's and a rookie RB fumble that cost the Rams a playoff spot if not the division. At least two of Goff's INT's were direct results in blown o-line blocks. The whole team had a down year, so why are people putting it on Goff's head? Also, three of those losses go right to the defense giving up 40+ points in those losses.
Just thank god they didn't draft Wentz, who's long term career outlook IMO is in question because of his injury history. Goff is mobile enough to extend plays if given the opportunity to do so. I like Goff and think they got a legitimate franchise QB in him.
