Jared Goff is 100/1 in Vegas for next years MVP and Todd Gurley is not even on the board. Looks like to me Vegas has completely written off the Rams.
What’s amazing is the names that are bigger favorites...like Kyler Murray at 20/1, Matt Ryan at 30/1, Josh Allen 40/1, Tua Tagovailoa who hasn't played a down in the NFL and has a blown hip is 80/1.
Maybe it’s my Rams fandom but it sure seems like the Rams get no respect.

More importantly can we win with him? Is he mobile enough as the top qb's possess that quality. Can he overcome a not so stellar OL? Mahomes, Wilson, Jackson, Allen, dak, wentz and many others can extend plays and run for first downs when the pocket breaks down or coverage dictates.
MVP is nice but I just want to win again

Wentz can extend plays, but not seasons. Also, Prescott is trash.

I have nothing else to add to this thread.

Until this year he was the winningest QB over the last two years, so yes.

Mahomes and Wilson stand alone in this place to me. Maybe it's the baseball background for each of them. But they both have an uncanny ability to be throwers the entire time until the rules officially make them runners - and they are both efficient runners.

The athletic abilities of the quarterback will have limitations just like the limitations of a pocket quarterback.

All the pieces matter and must be a working unit.

We were there last year with Goff. We were on the cusp. I know the loss was devastating.

I just don't get how people remember that game as Patriots just killing us. It was 3-3 with like 8 minutes to go in the game. Goff made throws that if they were caught he'd be hailed as the winner.

Hell the one run by Gurley that was called back due to a hold may have been a momentum and game changer.

Our offense fell flat the last part of the season - I'm not denying that. But to think Goff can't . . . I just don't agree with that.

Wentz can extend plays when he’s not hurt and missing games for injuries incurred while extending plays.

I would love to see goff play behind the Cowboys offensive line. I've never said I'm 100% sold on goff yet but fair is fair when his offensive line was good he was very good to great. Even when we had a good line it still does not hold a candle to a line like Dallas when it's healthy. Yet writers odds makers etc always create the narrative they want people to see. Maybe I'm wearing Rams goggles but it's almost like the media has wanted goff to be a bust since we got him just to prove themselves right that we gave up to much.

And keep this in mind again let me say I'm not 100% sold yet but for sure the guy does not get any credit or respect for what he has accomplished/numbers.

A “hold” we all know that call was crap. The calls in general were crap, I’m sure the crew was a little extra shitty just because of the noise being made from the Saints.

These are the same odds I got when I placed $75 on the Rams to win the Super Bowl after Trent Green went down.

Coincidence? Or fate?

Jared’s year baby!!!!

He had a down year and you've got to earn respect. Recency bias took away the previous 2 years so it's back to square one.

Anyone who has watched Goff has seen his stellar play when given even just decent o-line play. Once the o-line issues are resolved he will once again be rated among the elite.....just shows you how stupid and bogus these rankings are.

This QB was good enough to get the team to the Super Bowl with decent o-line play last in 2019 but now suddenly he isn't good enough? Hello....last I heard the NFL was a team sport.

This team has a good RB, a very good QB, and excellent WRs and TEs. What it lacked last year was good play on the o-line and why was that? They continued to play Blythe and Havenstein who really were exposed as the scrubs they are. It's no coincidence that once Havenstein was replaced things got better. But last year also exposed horrendous coaching both with the RBs but more importantly with the o-line.

Even with the subpar coaching of Dickenson and Kromer, I can see this o-line becoming a very good unit because of the talent they have. Spend the offseason coaching the young guys up in gap blocking and inside zone blocking technique, and installing a better run attack scheme and the balanced offense of 2018 will return. QB play will also return to the level fans expect.

Even without much of a run attack and substandard o-line play just remember it was 2 missed FG's and a rookie RB fumble that cost the Rams a playoff spot if not the division. At least two of Goff's INT's were direct results in blown o-line blocks. The whole team had a down year, so why are people putting it on Goff's head? Also, three of those losses go right to the defense giving up 40+ points in those losses.

Just thank god they didn't draft Wentz, who's long term career outlook IMO is in question because of his injury history. Goff is mobile enough to extend plays if given the opportunity to do so. I like Goff and think they got a legitimate franchise QB in him.

The Rams O took a major step back in 2019. Goff took a major step back in 2019.
McVay finally adapted (somewhat) near the end of the season. It helped make Hygbee hit Ram records.

Why is their not more questioning on McVay?
A great offensive mind should be able to adapt. In a way I felt that McVay was going back to what he was doing in Washington and what he wanted when he signed Carrier in his first year.

Goff is a good QB. He was not put in a position to succeed.

I believe that McVay let too many O coaches leave and taking on additional responsibilities himself.
I believe McVay has learned from this.

McVay golden boy
Goff a bust

The reality is somewhere between the two.

Rams are in good hands as I believe both strive to improve and both are humble enough to realize what the can and need to improve

With regard to Havenstein, Rams got to the playoffs then the SB... They didn't do those things with a RT who is a scrub...If Goff gets a pass for a down year, why doesn't Rob ???
