And Case was talking to a coach on the side right after the hit. He couldn't have been making sense!

Reggie: "Case you ok man? Game's almost over dude can you go?"
Case: "I like pancakes. With syrup. Lots of syrup."
Reggie: "Ok ref we're good to go"

Yeah, I bet that he smelled toast and though it was breakfast time.

Just up from locker room. Rams QB Case Keenum was diagnosed w/ concussion and was unavailable to media.

Fisher should be ashamed.

Fisher didn't even address this in his post-game conference.
All around bullshit conference again.
Is it frowned upon for the media to ask the tough shit?
Like "Case Keenum was obviously concussed after that hit, why was he allowed to play the next snap?"
Is that so hard to ask?

The NFL has medical staff for this sort of thing. People blaming fish for this one is ridiculous.

Looked to me as if the same thing happened in the Jets game. Fitz got his helmet knocked off forcing in a late TD, then throws his only 2 ints of the game in the last 2 minutes. Some of these guys are too tough for their own good.

There is a specialist at each game that is supposed to call down and pull the player. Waiting to hear why that didn't happen.

ATC spotter failed to call medical timeout to remove Case Keenum

This year, the NFL for the first time gave ATC spotters the power to stop play in order to remove from the field players potentially suffering from concussions. It’s a great idea in theory; in practice, it requires the spotter to be willing to slam on the brakes at a key moment in the action.

Late in Sunday’s game between the Rams and Ravens, the back of St. Louis quarterback Case Keenum’s head slammed against the ground during a late drive in a tie game. Keen immediately was in clear distress, struggling to get up.

But the game continued with Keenum at quarterback, without the Rams or the officials or the ATC spotter doing anything to get him off the field.

It’s possible that ATC spotter wasn’t paying attention. It’s more possible that the ATC spotter was reluctant to yank Keenum off the field during crunch time.

Regardless, the ATC spotter failed to protect a player who needed to be protected from himself. Keenum was never going to tap out voluntarily. In moments like that, the ATC spotter is there for one purpose: To tap out the player involuntarily.

.

The sad part is we don't know if the awfulness of the last two plays were due to the concussion or just a continuation of his general play today.

I just saw the play ( thanks Yahoo...I think) and how the NFL spotter didnt see he was hurting is beyond me. And Fisher and everyone else on the coaching staff had to see it.

my thoughts

Foles had his helmet on and was ready to go. Fisher refused to put him in the game, in case he actually led the team down field for the win. I didnt watch any of the game, but I am sure glad, judging by what I have read here, that I didnt waste my time and money heading to Baltimore this weekend

I'm gonna go ahead and say Fisher saw Keenum struggling to get up. Especially since he sent Reggie out to check on him.

Doesn't mean Fisher saw the hit or had a clue how badly Keenum was injured. Did Fisher PROBABLY see the head bounce? Idk watching it on TV it looked pretty obvious, there are many factors to think about. However there are DOCTORS who were are supposed to watchout for these kinds of hits/concussion like symptoms and they didn't stop play for Keenum. Idk if it's fair to just blame Fisher when there are specialest who are supposed to lookout for these kind of situations. Why aren't we blaming the trainer who talked with Keenum if it was so obvious he was concussed?!

Was there a timeout called after that play?

If the official makes the call, the clock stops? To rush Foles out without that stoppage would have been tough.

looked pretty blatant....he was woozy....I thought he WAS coming out...felt Nick could throw one deep ball....the bench is a excellent cure for inaccuracy.

When he was sacked, I wonder why he didn't climb the pocket...No pocket awareness....
