Hard to be a fan of the NBA due to the nature of the sport allowing superstars to have more of an impact in a game's outcome than teamwork in comparison to other sports; easily breeds that attitude where the players believe they are bigger than the team.

good luck with that.

.

Almost every Laker fans concern I would think.

Like the Rams moving to St Louis, which could not test the loyalty of a fan anymore than that, I can't stop being a Laker fan because they acquire the best player in Bball who happens to ironically, have a history of loyalty issues. Like Kobe, Shaq, Kareem and Wilt at some point. Albeit, larger than those icons just mentioned.

RAMS, Dodgers, Lakers, Kings for life. In that order. All very close to each other with the Dodgers Lakers both a fairly close second to my RAMS.

These Lakers are in desperate need for a shot in the arm. Magic seems to be leading this direction. I am happy EMJ is happy.

GO RAMS!!!

Didn't get any better than Chick, that's for sure, however, the Los Angeles Lakers should win more game then they lose now, well, hopefully.

Loved the Lakers since '77.... hated them the last few years. Always hated Lebron. Mixed feeling with this, may watch them again. Never watched them the last few years, boring basketball sucks.

Best times:

Rams beat the Cheatriots in the Super Bowl.
Cardinals beat the Red Sox in the 2019 WS.
Blues beat the Dead Wings in the Stanley Cup.
Mizzou goes undefeated in football and basketball.

Well played lol.

Been a Laker fan my whole life. We've had ore to enjoy while it lasted than almost every other teams' fans. That being said, I don't like this move. But I didn't like the Shaq move either. I'm ok with it as long as it's not all about James.

I liked the Shaq move because I knew it would lead to titles. He broke down later in his career from all the physical abuse he took for so long but when he was in his prime he was fantastic.

I don't see this move putting the Lakers into the top portion of the West like that move did. This team isn't there yet and LeBron probably only has 3 more seasons where he will be able to play like himself.

He has played 1381 NBA games and probably another 50 international/Olympic games. It's worth noting that he probably takes more hits than anyone since Shaq too. I know he takes amazing care of himself but the dropoff will be arriving eventually.

That to me is the big difference between this move and the Shaq move, Shaq was just starting his prime years, LeBron is closing his out. Magic better make some big time moves for this to be more than a PR thing.

So LeBron goes from the best team in the East to the team that will probably be the 5th seed in the West.

The Cavs weren't the best team in the East IMO..........they just had LeBron. The Celtics now have a path to the Finals.

Hard to be a fan of the NBA due to the nature of the sport allowing superstars to have more of an impact in a game's outcome than teamwork in comparison to other sports; easily breeds that attitude where the players believe they are bigger than the team.

The thing is there are 5 players versus 11 playing at once so one or two big time stars make a world of difference. I disagree that players think they are bigger than the team, I don't see that at all.

Everything for that franchise depends on Magic now, she has stepped back and given him the keys to the Kingdom.

It’s better than say Georgia giving the keys to Shaw & JZ .

Riddle me this !! What would have happened if Magic does not put his Dodger group together??

I’m an angel fan & could really give a fuck about Da Dodgers!!!

I’m not saying the franchise is all that good either. There best player is hurt though. The kid has a chance to be excellent if he can stay healthy.

I love the guy, trust me the Showtime Lakers were the best basketball team I have ever seen and they were great to a fan like me watching from the other side of the country.

Good point about Shaw and JZ for sure.

I hope Magic can fix the Lakers..........IMO they, not the Celtics, are the most storied franchise in the NBA. Maybe the most successful in all of sports as far as post seasons.

I watch zero baseball, sometimes less than that. So I can't answer.
