I'm still gobsmacked that the Rams seem to have this glaring hole at center.

Everyone seemed to think we needed to upgrade from Blythe, but the options we'd have on the roster were all guys he beat out last year, right? So how is that not gonna be a "downgrade?"

In-house options seem to be: Allen, Shelton, Corbett, Anchrum. Or, starting a rookie?

From my POV, I sure as hell hope the Rams grab an interior OL at 57 or even trade up to get the guy they want. The idea of trading down at 57 feels strange to me, when they seem to have this glaring weakness at the OC position.

As always, I trust McSnead a million times more than myself, but for the life of me I just can't figure out what the hell they are thinking at OC.

If we get Humphrey or Meinerz, all will be forgiven. Just hope they don't go into the season with an unknown C "experiment" that blows up in their faces. The Brian Allen experiment in 2019 was not a good one.

If we draft Dalman before 100 I’m going to require a delivery of more alcohol tonight to numb the pain. Even at 103 I’d be somewhat bummed.

Praying he falls to 57 but doubt it given some teams have a 1st round grade on him. Also this tweet from RapSheet earlier is interesting. I bet he heard something about us and Dalman.

So we will likely go Edge/CB or trade down from 57. Which sucks because there will be some stud WRs available there but hard to see us using that pick on WR5. Which is why I wish we signed OL in FA and Edge instead of spending big $ on Floyd. Would've given us more flexibility in this draft.

I see Dalman as a round 5 guy. He needs a lot of work.

Round 3 for me at center is Myers.

Had a dream last night that we took the Pudue receiver. So I am ready to get a surprise result lol.

I’d be very happy with Brady at 88. Really like this kid. 57 is too early for him.
But I had the same complaints initially last year with both our 2nd round picks (thought 3rd was the spot for them both). But I got over it eventually.

Ther are a lot of good lineman left some notable corners and linebackers. Of course we need to find the not notable gems lol. I do think there will be a run on offensive lineman to start the second round. Cincy Miami Jax (2x) even the seahags cowgirls bears lots of teams could use lineman. I'm getting anxious lol

With Little, Radunz, and Eichenberg on the board it feels like OT could be the position tonight. Would sure feel nice to fill LT.

And the Bengals are going to get a guy in Jenkins (I hope for them) at OT who was a 1st round talent to a lot of people.

Jenkins is a load man. But I think he is a RT. And I worry about his back since we aren't privy to that med side.

If we take him I expect he would RG year one and probably beast. So won't complain but prefer Radunz tbh.

They have a LT so that's perfect. He can even start in at Guard for a year with Reiff on board at least until he gets hurt then slide out.

While we fans haven't seen it, I wouldn't quite call Corbett at Center 'experimental', after all, he's been starting at both LG & RG for the last season and a half, he should have the line calls down by now, and having Stafford behind him should make the job that much easier anyway. As far as Blythe 'beating' the competion at Center last year, you may recall that there was no real pre-season to make many of these important adjustments, & Blythe was only re-signed 1 day before he was set to hit free agency. jmo.

No one got beaten out last year. Rams had a plan during the Covid shortened training camp. Anoint starters right away and give them almost all the reps. The only guy who earned a starting spot at camp was Fuller and that's ONLY cause Rapp got injured in camp.

I'm not saying we have world beaters on the roster at center but I think we have some question marks who could do okay. And "okay" isn't a downgrade of Blythe, it's spot on equal.

There will be ridiculous amount of talented players for Rams at 57. So do they take one or trade out with so many good guys available knowing that they'll get one of them 10-15 picks later.

Radunz at 57 would be celebration time. Of course then we hear Rams select a thin TE or another slot WR instead lol

Freiemuth would be an absolute luxury pick that I don't think McVay makes. We signed his boy DJax and have 4 WR deep room. He has drafted Hopkins last year and we still have Higbee. I get it he's good but our first pick of the draft on a position we don't need? We'll have 1 back 1 TE 3 WR on the field the majority of the time so unless he's writing off Hopkins or going to move on from Higbee it's a spot I can't see McVay valuing (yes we all know he does his own thing as is proof by not taking an OL on day 2 the last 2 years).

Howard is coming back and the Rams have yet to value ILB at all under McVay so Blanton to me seems one of the least likely picks any ILB. Just like OL we always think he's going to finally get a good one at ILB and he never does.

I like Eskridge but prefer other WR.

Every year we see the same things in our drafts.

Rams fans: "OH we need OL" McVay drafts one in the 7th round if he drafts one at all
Rams fans: "We need an ILB ours suck" McVay drafts one in the 6th or 7th round or just goes with UDFA
Rams fans: "We should get a fullback our offense would be elite with a good one" McVay laughs into his rose` wine
Rams fans: "McVay was great with TE as OC in Washington we need an elite one" McVay drafts a guy in the 4th who hardly sees the field.

Maybe the tiger changes his stripes this year but for the previous 4 years that's been the dance around here to a capital T.
@Memento IDk @OldSchool McVay and Snead has a history of dipping into an area us fans think is good to go.

I for one would absolutely love this guy since he’s such a dangerous weapon in multiple ways. We need a Kittle type of TE and not saying he is a clone, but teaming him up with Higbee and our Offense he could make a lasting impact.

That said I think we got OL GC with first pick after trade down for value.

My top 2 choices won't happen because they won't fall is Asante Samuel JR and Dillon Radunz. Samuel would upgrade the secondary from day 1 and Radunz would start out at Guard and also upgrade the OL while having a potential successor to Whit. My #1 thing is and will always be upgrading the OL.

Believe me I’m 100% on board especially with all our OL contracts ending this year or next year. We need to get nasty up front.
