I’m still wondering if Cooper has the flexibility to play situational OLB/Edge. That would greatly add to his value. I feel similarly about DeJean.
That’s the problem with Verse too. He’s stiff. He isn’t likely to be good in coverage.

okay, hear me out. I have this fever dream where we get Latu and trade up for Darius Robinson. In this scenario, Robinson is the guy who unlocks all pass rushers here, playing DE in base and DT in nickel, and occasionally OLB, etc... I think he's the kinda guy, between him and Turner, who could require the kind of attention that would allow a guy like Latu and Young to get singled up more which I think will need to happen for them to succeed.

Agree on the versatility of Robinson. I too, think he could “unlock” this defensive front.
…would you be disappointed if the Rams nabbed him at #19? He won’t make it #52, IMO.

Super interesting idea and I think I love it. I'm not a Robinson guy for EDGE, but, with his hand on the ground and situationally on the EDGE when its a damn near sure run, I really like him for that. Honestly, this could vastly improve our line. Great idea!
I was hoping you would come around. :part:

Yeah, after hearing more about his improvement last year and how young he is (think that's right) and the fact that he's a tweener, I think his future is definitely as an old school power 4-3 DE or a DE/DT in an odd front who can move up and down the line.

Everyone pushes the pocket and Young picks it up with speed.

My preference would be 1.Murphy or 2.Verse And I would like to see
Rams do what ever they need to do to get one of these guys.

If it's Verse than I love Sweat in the second. He is a double team magnet
and a monster in the run game and tips a crap load of passes.

Apologize for not following proper format of thread.
I just have a short list. Not a Latu fan because of injury concerns

Wait, your not a Latu fan but you are a Sweat fan in the 2nd round? At this point, that would be a big reach. Dude just was arrested for DUI and has a history of partying (not to mention he may have been north of 390 recently). I like Sweat as a prospect as well, but, it far too risky taking him in the 2nd at this point. Would love him in the 4th, possibly gamble with 3.99, but can't see risking it earlier. Prior to the DUI, I could see it.

Yea read about the dui after post. It may hurt his status but I don't see him being there in forth.
Still think he goes in 2nd. Partying in college is not a huge concern if he is in right locker room.
The guy is a beast but I have been wrong a million times before. Just fell in love with his game tape.

Agree, don't think he makes it out of the 2nd. Question is, who takes him.

Top 5:

1. Verse (and it’s not even close)
2. McCarthy (no chance he’s there anyway)
3. Newton
4. Turner
5. Murphy ( something about him makes me uncomfortable being next to Sweat at Texas)

I doubt the Rams stay at 19.

I see them trading up maybe to 8 with Atlanta. Two 1's and Atwell. They take Bo Nix at 8.

Or they trade up to 5 with the Chargers again Atwell is included. This cost them 3 number 1s. They take Penix.

Or they trade for Herbert giving two first round picks, Atwell and Jimmy G. The Chargers can then take McCarthy at 5 and use Jimmy as a possible bridge if they have to. They definitely need a WR as well. McVay gets a young vet who plays with a gunslinger mentality just like a young Stafford. This clears the Chargers cap for cheap ass Spanos and Harbaugh gets his QB.

Yeah, I've had them trading with Atlanta for a while now. Your other suggestions are so off the wall impossible I don't even know where to start so I just won't.

Uhhhh, Nix is more then likely available at 19, why in the world would they give Atlanta 2 firsts and Atwell to move up and do that? Leave Atwell out and we are in business.

If the Rams use multiple first round picks to acquire Nix or Penix, the entire front office and coaching staff should be fired.

I think you forgot the blue font
Because clearly Atwell alone could be traded for the #5 overall pick
