Great solos at 4:10 and 6:48.

My buddy and I shared an apartment in Milpitas, CA around 77. We used to sit out on the porch and listen to this album just about every night, drinking beer and watching the fireworks from Great America. Good times. Michael Schenker has been struggling with alcohol problems for most of his life. This is probably why he's not more well known except by fellow guitarists. Truly one of the best ever.

Guilty passion for this guys stuff in the 80's. I Lol'd at the youtube comment "He looks like he just got off his couch to play this concert."

Sporting an Earl Campbell Jersey! That dude could run trough a brick wall. He had legs like tree trunks.

Made me think of my first live NFL game. Living in Texas at the time, my Uncle took me to a Houston Oilers game in the late 70's in the old Astrodome and I got to see him play. It was a great game and records were broken. Billy "White Shoes" Johnson got two punt returns for a TD that game. The famous Astrodome scoreboard was exploding all game long. Good times.

Saw Frank Marino as well during the 70's. He opened for Neil Schon and Jeff Beck(with Jan Hammer).
Man I am Jealous. That sounds like a hell of a show. The work that Back and Hammer did together on the "Wired" album is brilliant.

Those of us who had the privilege of seeing shows like that though are also as old as the hills. :) I was perfectly situated in the SF bay area during the 60's through the 80's and got to see all the great bands and artists that blew into town. Plus as a musician playing in his own bands there was that desire to check everyone out which I did.

One quick story about that Beck/Hammer show. It was outside, at the Stanford Amphitheatre as I recall, and Marino and Neal Schon had done their blazing fast guitar thing. Jeff Beck came out by himself and blasted this one solitary note that hung in the air as if to proclaim "Here I am. I'm the real deal." The crowd went absolutely nuts.

On another note: I love Robin Trower but don't much care for him doing his own singing. Check it out for yourself.

Love Phish and Trower "The Prince of the Wah-wah pedal" I would have loved to see Beck, Hammer, and Journey's lead guitarist. I did see Journey, Frank Marinio, and bunch of other bands at the 1st Texas Jam. Big concert!

Speaking of big. This live concert shot of Fish and Marillion has a 6'6 man named Fish singing lead. He looks like an out of shape NFL offensive tackle. Fish dwarfs the rest of the band. You may notice Fish putting his hand on the shoulder of the lead guitarist. Fish is singing to the guitar-man, why he was about leave Marrilion after the tour... Forever. Or try Sugar Mice on for size.

Hey TSFH, I dug your music trailer music. Yeah, I had to lookup Intermediate Music on Wikipedia. Very interesting. Are you into bands like Therion. I like metal meshed with opera. Oh by the way. What does TSFH stand for? " Two Steps From Hell"

Bachman Turner Overdrive with a killer Black Sabbath type riff...
