This is figured by using Goff's averages over 9 games, if spread over 16 games:

Yards: 5,006 yards passing
TD's: 36
Ints: 11
QB Rating: 112.9

Should be fairly accurate because the loss ensured the Rams would have to use starters to get the #1 seed, throughout the regular season.

Hopefully his averages re even better in the playoffs, and results in a Super bowl win.

Yes - but it's also more than just stats. Late in the 4th quarter needing a score to win - need his balls to drop in those situations. That's what separates the dudes with nice stats from champions.

Not that I think Goff is at all like this guy - but heard a dude with the best nickname for Matt Stafford.

Called him Stat Patford.

His balls dropping scored 21 points to even up at 35-35 in the 4th quarter. His balls dropping won't change Thomas burning Peters.

PS: scoring 35 points with an average defense, should win almost any game.

Last two possessions were not good. He played well overall, but I'm talking about those late 4th quarter situations where the pressure is multiplied - do or die time.

IMO he didn't get any help from McVay, I feel like he got a little panicky on the play calls a couple of times and tried to get too much. Gurley was running very well and didn't get enough touches in the second half. Maybe 3-4 passes went his way and I think he only ran 4-5 times.

Right 35 pts should be enough to win but at the quarterback you can only control what you can.

We still had the ball and a chance to win - and we went 3 and out.

This is what makes puke Brady one of the GOATS.

You give him the rock with a chance and you know whats coming.

Yeah honesty at the end there - the way McVay and Goff were talking you could tell they were a little off. They are mildly arguing: which I never see.

Back to back weeksour 24 year old QB went toe to toe with first ballot Hall of Fame QBs and didn’t flinch. It’s too bad people are focusing on the D’s problems and not re ognizing the positives.

Edit he’s proven to be a tractor to borrow the metaphor.

Do you know how hard it is..how much guts it takes, NOT to give up and lead a team to come back like they did, being down 21 points at one time? MOST teams would have given up. Even your boy Brady has hardly ever came back from that far in a game to tie with a little more than 6 minutes to go. Last week, Aaron Rodgers did a 3 and out with Donald's help in crunch time....so he was was choker too?

He missed one throw... the roll out to Woods.... and not an easy throw on the move like that.

Yes it was a nice comeback - but those closing moments of the 4th quarter it really is do or die, which is another level of pressure.

I'm not even going to argue anymore because I knew as soon as I made even a slight criticism of Goff it would go like this.

But anyways yeah pointless.

You didn't make just a criticism, you called him a choker. You might as well say he will never win the big game like Brady....So yeah, there isn't much more to discuss

Counterpoint - Even watching Rogers last night, I watched him miss some easy throws. WRs sitting in a patch of green with no CBs around them in a deep zone and discount double check turned into discount check down.

I agree with all of the above. Jared had a chance to win the game there, or at least put enormous pressure on the Stains with time ticking down, and went 3 'n out. And the previous week it was similar, with him and the offense stalling at the most crucial stage of the game and allowing change of possession, but were saved by the special teams turnover.

Goff isn't ready yet to wear that mantle of elite QB in crunch time. But he's very young and very close to being ready, and those games are coming here pretty soon where he will pull it out and be that guy you don't want to have the ball when the chips are down. If that happens during this year's playoffs we're going to be in business. If not, well, we're going to look back after many years of him being an elite QB and understand that these were part of his learning curve.

I’m not going to argue I’m just going to make my point in between “not gonna argue” and “it’s pointless”

Lol solid tactic

That's assuming the saints don't drop a couple of games from here to the end of the season. No reason why they wont. Every team has a bad day.

Those 4 quarter flubs are also play calling. Our final possession is what 3rd and 4, and you're in 4 down territory and you throw 3 times in a row? I dunno seems like McVay gets a little pass happy at times. But it's all hindsight, if it worked McVay would have been labeled genius HC playboy, and Goff the next Brady. Instead he threw wide and now he's not elite and the Rams are suddenly paper tigers? lol

Point is the Rams STILL have the best record in football. So take it easy guys

Cooks coulda/shoulda caught that lass pass. Had his hands on it.
New Orleans makes 1 stop, after they take the 38-35 lead and Goff gets blamed. Good gracious
