Youre arguing as if theyre good players? Corbett was benched, regarded as a total bust, and shipped off for a late round pick a few years after he was drafted with a 2nd round pick. Go read up on what he did in Cleveland. And Blythe was a 7th rounder, not an UDFA woooow. The point is their TALENT is not sufficient. Thats the point. We are building our line with late round picks and miscasts while other NFL teams are investing real picks/money to ENSURE their line is great. All the meanwhile SF keeps adding 1st round DL talent. Im sure our cast of misfits can block Bosa, Dee Ford, and Kinlaw nooo problem. Should be easy with all the talent we have up front.
Bruh, you flat out said "do you really think a 2nd Rd pick won't be better than Corbett?" . Corbett WAS a second round pick. 33rd pick at that. I liked what I saw from him last year BTW. He flat out manhandled some fools at times. I'd like to see him with another year of coaching in our system.

I don’t know man, his production his senior season, the Big Ten Tight End of the Year, and first-team all-conference honors with 61 receptions for 830 yards (13.6 per) and seven touchdowns in 12 games (11 starts). His father was a Pro Bowl offensive lineman.

Others think he was the best, there are YouTube videos about it. There are other people saying it. Who cares? He will either be a good player for us or not, but it’s too early to celebrate his demise, and it’s too early to say he’s a bonafide threat.

I see this fracture of fans who saw a bad OL last year, and that equates to drafting players, and that’s just not how it works. We already drafted a big influx of OL talent the last few years. Everyone is starting out healthy this year, and we have depth, and competition at every OL position.

In this draft, everyone over drafted the OL. The top two OL that I liked at our draft position, and by universal draftnik position, both went in the top 30. Both players were projected in the 50 - 60’s.

I think, everyone is gonna find out that the Rams really love Brian Allen, and the other interior guys.

may worst then with Austin Blythe he is a Excellent Veteran backup OG/OC!!
How does is get better than that for a season until this young group gets more experience.
Anyone that is a RAM FAN & has any HEART about MCSNEAD should be able to see this.
Freaking NOT 1 POSTER HERE has answered 1 Question I Have Had on

David Edwards’
&
Bobby Evans
who both got NFL Experience in The NFL.

My question is where would Bobby Evans have been drafted in 2020. Then I’ll add how good would have Oklahoma been with him starting at LT for maybe his 3rd HeismAn Trophy winner in 3 Start season ?? The Sooners would have had that extra talent ?? Maybe ??

David Edwards same question. Where would he have been drafted ?? I’m sure he might have even been moved to say LT ?? If nothing else one of the best RT’s in college football. Add he had never played OG in his life. Then in Training Camp was cross-training everywhere.

That doesn't mean much to me. He was benched by Freddie Kitchens. Where's Freddie now? A tight ends coach, a worse demotion than HC to OC. Read up what Freddie Kitchens did in Cleveland and it practically makes anything any player did irrrelevant.

Exactly. Corbett was cut after one year by a highly dysfunctional team.

Dye has not impressed me. Not physical at all. Didn't want him.
Interesting. Dye stood out on a pretty good Ducks team that won the Rosebowl. His athleticism, speed and vision are hard to beat. Only time will tell if Minnesota was correct in drafting him. I’d bet on him though.

did i just watch tyler higbee highlights?

.
Funny, i just read thru this entire thread and kept seeing epitaphs for Everett as a Ram. I don't see this pick that way at all. What i see is likely 2 more years of Higbee as a Ram then bye bye when his dead cap hit takes a nosedive. Cut or traded.

Everett is McV's pick. He had a good rookie year and a tough sophomore year + injuries. IMO Hopkins is a Higbee contingency.

Folks getting fired up in this thread.

Disagree. This is Everetts departure.

Jeff Brohm was Hopkins head coach at Purdue and he was also Higbee's head coach at Western Kentucky.

Well, I'm sure this has been said before but we got to pay a lot of guys and we just won't have money for Everett. He will be gone after this year and Hopkins is his replacement.

Don't alway draft for the current year.... though I suspect he might get some playing time. If memory serves, Everett usually gets a little injured here and there.
