I certainly don't think it bodes well for them - if just from a structure point of view.
What I think is interesting is that they now have Mr. Irrelevant (150 yards/game) as their starter after Tommy John surgery with their back-up being someone just above a bust considering his draft position.
I realize the common wisdom is that any QB can succeed with that roster and in Rat Boy's system and with that defense but I'm not so sure. Dweebo is a question mark to me. Aiyuk needs someone to get him the ball downfield. Kittle is going to get his 700 yards but also needs someone to get him the ball downfield to make his splash plays. I don't wish injury on any player but McCaffrey isn't exactly a lock to finish the season. Add in that their highly drafted kicker is already injured, they have contract issues with their best defender, and they have punks in Warner and Greenlaw, plus they lost Ebukam, etc...
If they start out slow, like they can do many times, I wouldn't be surprised if the wheels fall off the train.
